5-9 to 1-7, Thats a great result on the road. I didnt have singers luxury of travelling to the game but different reports from the last few weeks certainly show that the girls appear to be very focused on promotion. Did the same team line out as against Armagh in round 1? Fair play to Benjy he looks to have turned them around this year and hopefully there are rewards to come for this team. Still very early days though

so ive gathered that down never looked like losing the game and were always on top. They were very stronng in defence and that the sligo scores came from free's awarded by a very poor referee. kyla was sin binned but had a great game otherwise and sinead fegan was the star of the show

Heard the girls had a great win over Sligo, their defence were outstanding and great team performance. Their captain led by example again! Keep it going girls. Doing the county proud.

I would like to comment on the constant back lashing of Kyla Trainor. I have the highest respect for this young lady and was slightly uneasy about the question on her fitness at 24 years when she trains almost 4 nights a week. She is no Michela downey because she in her own right is an talented footballer and role model for her team mates and young girls in her county by her work with the county board and her work in her own club and support to other clubs in the county. But I can say from reading the comments left by individuals on this site I will never allow my child to go to county football. What the young ladies of the down team have read on this at times is unreal and they should never have too. This can lead to a serious issue's here with their state of mind that may cause them to leave county football. I will completely understand if they do as I would hate for my child to deal with the comments left on this page about them. Their is a difference in constructive criticism and negative criticism and some posts are over stepping that line.
