And dont forget France Toner is in as well... A great management duo and with all the success Francie brought to the minors in the last few years - he will surely bring loads of these great players through with him to senior level and clear out some of the deadwood...

Singer.... at senior level there will be no immediate impact with clearing out old players and bringing in girls who are just out of minor! so I must ask.....how long are you going to give this managment duo before you start slating them? u have gave the last two managments a couple of months....I will be keen to see how long you give them compared to past managments just because you have 'got who you want'. Maybe if they are in the same position as either of the last two managments the rest of us will start as you have in the past.....except we are more patient and know development takes time....years in fact!

I think we need to worry about the standard of players coming through. I see Castlewellan won all their U 16 matches this year by about 20 points. What does this say about the general standard at U 16 !!!

Why dont they clear it out? The last two managements have left us in division 3 so those minors will be more than capable of handling themselves to get us back to the top of the tree... I gave each of the last two managements time to find their feet. Francie wont fall into this trap - he is too crafty for that...... And Benji is shrewd operator...

Because as history suggest in any successful team....a mixture of youth and experience is the way forward. If the managment realise that also and work with it. There will be a chance of success....if its a squad full of youth, they need to be ready to take about two years of beatings before experience starts to put points on the board. However thats makes it hard to maintain interest. But dont get me wrong....for then sake of down football I hope there is success in whatever these guys try to do

Clear it out? Good idea, why not reward the ladies who worked hard under difficult circumstances to represent our county by kicking them out. Let's get the players who formed the huddle in the middle of the field in Armagh a couple of months and who went on to put in a massive effort in the game, and tell them to get lost. So this year the Senior championship will have a 9 team format with Rostrevor as intermediate champions and Burren now a senior team. Shamrocks and Clonduff will drop to Intermediate and Teconnaught will be involved in intermediate championship. Any thoughts on how teams will fare in the leagues and championships... should be a very competitive season ahead with little between alot of teams in the three divisions
