They have as good a chance as any of the teams. They still havent found any1 to take them yet and to be honest i dont think they will. They deserve to have some1 good.Maybe the Rostrevor club should think of paying some1 to come in.If the senior manager is getting paid then any1 taking the girls should get paid too.

I hear the ladies got a right hammering yesterday.... Start the season as you mean to go on i suppose..... Dont look too good for the upcoming league programme if they are getting beaten by B teams in challenge games...............

Singer you just can't help it can you, you are full of it. Stay off this board, we don't want you on here making up lies and posting negative comments. For everyone else's info, the ladies played the Kildare 'A' team, a division 1 team, and beat them 2-9 to 1-5 and by all accounts played very well after a shakey start with all players getiin 30 minutes and giving a good account of themselves.

Coming onto theis board and calling anyone an idiot is a disgrace...... I heard from a very reliable source that they were hammered and were only playing the kildare B team as the A team were playing someone else at the same time.... Even if they did win 2.9 aint gonna get them very far this year in national league games............

Singer - you need to catch yourself on.... The ladies were playing Kildare A team yesterday and beat them very well - even better than the scoreline suggests.... All girls got a game which was excellent management and i must say i dont envy their job when it comes to picking the team for the first national league game as every girl yesterday played very well... I thought Laurelle Campbell was solid for her first game in the full back line, Aine Hardy was excellent in midfield and Catherine Mc Govern showed glimpses of the genius she is... Fair play to the management for overhauling the panel from last year and they seem to have a much stronger bunch of girls available to them this year...

Singer have you anything constructive to say? What do you suggest if the team are so bad?

GaelGirl, ur hoping for far too much asking singer for some constructive input, he can't even make truthful comments about results!! .....Singer u've totally slated the county team once again, despite the fact u werent at the game and so are in no position to comment, and ur 'reliable friend' who advises you of who wins apparently cant even count scores??
I think the win is a great start and solid preparation for the season ahead.

Gaelgirl - im glad you had the sense to ask..... Firstly there are girls out there who need to be included on the panel who arent getting a look in at the minute.... Secondly the team needs to quit all this men style training and train like ladies are supposed to - remember this is a non contact sport so tackle bags should not be used..... They need a system of play - not catch and kick they are doing at the minute and lastly they need new management cause these chaps havent a clue......

Singer have you noticed that not one person has ever agreed with you on this board? Catch a grip of yourself and wise up. You are doing ladies football no favours except giving other counties an opportunity to poke fun at our county. The ladies county set up is as good as its ever been, they appear to be stronger than last year and the two boys seem to be very good at what they do. You have been at this since the middle of last year, time to give it a rest. Do you think the girls want to come on here and read your insulting and negative comments. They players and management are not going to change so deal with it. And as for ladies being non contact, did you see the all-ireland final last year, I rest my case.

Sounds like a plan REDJOE.
Does anyone know if any of the clubs have started back with pre-season training yet?

Yeah there are loads of clubs back training already - but there are also loads of clubs without management for the forthcoming season........ I hear Mayobridge have restructured and are putting forward a team in the junior league... Good to hear of a strong club doing something like this... Burren will fold now for sure without these players - unless they raid somewhere else......

Haven't heard much about managers either.... I think a lot of the teams are finding it difficult to get numbers and management and don't think anyone really knows whats happening, even with their own teams until they meet up for training to start again. Hopefully all will be getting sorted in the next couple of weeks before fixtures are all drawn up?
