Who are Saval????? You mean that crew who forced Bosco to fold and now have players from Glen, Shamrocks, Ballyholland and a couple of ex Burren players.... Yeah they are a fine example in ladies football alright... The FOrd are taking the whole thing seriously this year and i hope they get their true rewards = a nice double would sit on the sideboard for me.....

Its nice to see a Down club get recognition in a national newspaper such as the Belfast Telegraph tonight! This will give the girls a great boost starting into training in the next couple of weeks! Its also great to show other teams what such a young bunch of ladies can do in the footballing world after only been playing for a few years! Keep going the way you are Carryduff and you will be competing in senior football very soon! Cant wait to see Carryduffs line up in a few years with the younger girls coming up!

Fair enough saval, but not only are becoming a United Nations like Burren men, who take players from warrenpoint, you are also depriving girls from your own club from playing football; they are the ones who have to satnd aside while outsides are brought in.
You should be more like real club teams, like Kilcoo or Rostrevor, who make do with their own players.

Singer wat has it got to do with u, weather or not they were away no a weekend. wat might or mightnot have happened at da weekend should stay within the panial, Singer all you do is sit behind a computer and run the team into the ground, If you had any balls at all you would say who u really are.

Burrenman - dont you be coming on here and telling me what i can and cant do.... You are obviously only onto this programme - i have been here from the start....... I like everyone else have a right to know what is happening with the ladies in the county......... I would really like to attend the upcoming games and see how the team have progressed or indeed if they have progressed since last season....

Heard on the grape vine that Rostrevor are looking for new Mentors.Word has it if they dont find some1 the team may fold and that would be a pity cause they had some good players.

I have heard a similar thing about downpatrick. Heard it during the summer but then was told it had been sorted and now i believe they may be in trouble again??

And indeed Burren ladies are the same... They will fold very soon if they cant find a replacement for Sean O'Hare who has taken up the role of senior mens trainer........ Pity because they set the down leagues alight two years ago with their style of play and all of the players are still available as they are young........ Ladies club football could take a bit of a hammering this season.....

That is a crying shame to hear that Burren Ladies might be folding - not.... They raided mayobridge last season and stopped them from having a good u16 team.. These things always come back to haunt these clubs so i for one am glad they are gone............

How can you be glad that any team going??? You talk like you hope for the best for the county but you are only interested in youself and your own agenda. you need to grow up! You are so disrespectful about other teams it is unbelievable. if you are a manager you will know the amount of effort that goes into establishing and maintaining a team so why would you be glad that all that effort will amount to nothing. the teams mentioned all have juvenile and senior teams, that is alot of girls to lose. if you truly want wat is best for down you should be more supportive of other teams and the efforts being made throughout the county.

Singer you are a disgrace. Ladies football would be far better off without the likes of you.

Singer . First thing, Mayobridge ladies folded before they came asking could they come and play for Burren. So get your facts right. Your a disgrase to Ladies football for wishing that on any team. In the end of the day all the girls want to do is play football.

sorry to hear Rostrevor ladies are folding; they had some top players, Carina Gannon especially was easily county standard, Katie Farrell. Kerry and Colleen Magee future county players. Which club, if any, will they go to?

A few of you need to get off your high horse about me being a disgrace.... I just share my opinion and have relations in Mayobridge who are appalled at the way the Burren club poached those girls last year... Took away from their own progress as a ladies team... As for you Burrenman - you should know your club acted in an unprofessional manner and should be kicked outta the league for their actions.... The fact they are folding simply because they cannot get a manager shows how strong they are as a club...........

Everyone else on this board is sharing their opinion too but they are doing in a more respectful manner. Its one thing to say that you dont agree with what something but you always take it to the extreme and are deliberatly nasty and mean to cause offence.

I think those of us that have a genuine interest and knowledge of ladies football should just ignore singer's comments.
Reading through this message board they have shown that they do not have a notion.
Look at Singers top 15 to play on our county team. it clearly illustrates that they do not (a) have the capacity to manage and (b) have very limited knowledge of the top players in down.

I don't mean to be disrespectful to any player who is mentioned on that team but I would say if a few of those girls were asked seriously to they consider themselves county standard they would say no.

To those clubs that Singer has repeatedly and bluntly attempted to slander - don't allow this so called supporter of ladies football annoy you, this person has demonstrated that they simply listen to some comment that is made and then post a message trying to suggest that they know everything about ladies football in our county, it is very comical reading some of singers posts which are so far from the truth, but then "empty vessels make the most noise"

To all genuine ladies GAA players, mentors and supporters I say we let singer ramble on and just ignore any comment that is posted.

Ladies are playing Monaghan this weekend in challenge game taking place in Burren on Sunday.... This will be real good test for them up against the all ireland finalists of last season... Havent seen any of the girls involved on the panel lately but vibes are good from the panel from what i heard about the queens game in december... Think there is stronger panel there this year and hopefully they win some games in the league and look forward to the championship with renewed vigour.....
