They already tempted him. He went down and had trials with richmond. Got homesick and came back thank god. doyle55 (Westmeath) - Posts: 13 - 20/03/2013 21:02:05 1353058 Link 0 |

Carlow in mullingar. With all due respect we should win that with relative ease. Bal1991 (Westmeath) - Posts: 95 - 20/03/2013 21:27:12 1353088 Link 0 |

He did more than have trials. He was signed up as a rookie pro. As mentioned above thankfully he didnt like it out there. Jack_Sparrow (Westmeath) - Posts: 1046 - 20/03/2013 21:43:45 1353104 Link 0 |

I've given up predicting this contrary as hell league. tribeinbrum (Galway) - Posts: 4155 - 22/03/2013 09:18:18 1353890 Link 0 |
after this league campaign is it safe to say Galway is a Hurling county? footballers are in shambles and dreading the football championship. yet another year struggling in the qualifiers is on the cards for the footballers im afraid. Hurlers are one of three sides who are capable of winning liam and doing the county proud. galwayabuuuuu (Galway) - Posts: 44 - 22/03/2013 10:45:51 1353950 Link 0 |
The footballers will be back. We just haven't got the talent at the moment but we're in a state of flux. We'll still bate Mayo and then the Sheep Stealers in the Championship though :-). tribeinbrum (Galway) - Posts: 4155 - 22/03/2013 11:05:39 1353967 Link 0 |
If teams finish level lads does it come down to head to head results to decide relegation? This is such a close league I can see that happening. juniorbsub (Wexford) - Posts: 646 - 22/03/2013 12:30:55 1354029 Link 0 |

It's the most crazy league in ages. Take Westmeath out of it (i expect them to go up) there could be 3/4 teams in joint second place going into the last round of games???? Absolutely mental league. tribeinbrum (Galway) - Posts: 4155 - 22/03/2013 13:51:46 1354116 Link 0 |
Galwayabuuuuu lets get one thing straight. On most given years it is easier to win a senior inter county all-ireland hurling title than the football equivalent simply because there are far more mid range football teams that can catch out any one of the top 2 or 3 in a given year. This is not the case in hurling. Also your assertion that Galway is a now a hurling county is very far off the mark. 4 senior hurling all-irelands as opposed to 9 senior football tiltle means Galway will never be a hurling only county. Thank god as we have a very proud football tradition. I am a dual supporter but from experience there is an arragance among some hurling folk and Galway has some hurling fans in this category. Why do you think hurling has not spread country wide? Granted it is a more technical game to teach youngsters from an early age but a counter argument to this is that the top few hurling counties do not want hurling to spread so that they can keep all the success to themselves. As an add on it is a credit to Tipp people for example who have done wonders to progress underage football in their county against the defiance of many Tipp hurling folk. kiloughter (Galway) - Posts: 1992 - 22/03/2013 13:59:32 1354126 Link 0 |

Very difficult league to work out. Laois and Derry looked good to me early on but the progress of Louth and Westmeath has been impressive. Armagh have been the big surprise and are in big trouble. This weekend Laois, Derry, Galway and Westmeath. Byanthon (Tyrone) - Posts: 1792 - 23/03/2013 11:21:48 1354500 Link 0 |

Delighted for the westmeath team today, been a great attitude shown by them in each game coming from behind in every game so far. May need to work on getting some more scores in the first half but can afford to worry about that another day. Darragh (Westmeath) - Posts: 341 - 24/03/2013 18:41:58 1355181 Link 0 |
