In fairness, Heslin was the best u21 footballer in the 2010 Leinster Championship when he was still minor, so it's pretty safe to say he's right at the top now. Westmeath wouldn't have a point on the board without him.

This division has just gone mental really.....Anyone can still go up - barring Longford (They've been unlucky but just don't have that cuteness to get the results their play has deserved). It's a minefield predicting who's going up or down. Makes for a really exciting end to the league though and i'm just glad we're in the shake-up!!!

Really exciting division alright, feel for longford ,they have not played badly in fairness, expect them to win at least one game before they go,still think it's between derry and westmeath to go up,would fancy us to take wezford and armagh, derry away will be tricky but if we win the next two we should be up

Have to agree with the lads, have seen John Heslin play on 5 or 6 occasions now with Westmeath and UCD, in my opinion he's up there with Aidan Walsh as the best midfielder in the country. Great leap, super hands and still u21, his potential is huge. For a midfield player his accuracy is exceptional, from what i have read he's the main reason westmeath are in a great position to join the top teams in the country next year in division 1.

have to say ,been impressed with Westmeath they have really dug in. Longford have been desperately unlucky. Jamie Clarke taking a holiday in the middle of a league campaign is a huge loss for Armagh, he's a class act. If Derry get Eoin and Paddy Bradley back to full match fitness before the middle of April and get them participating in a league final i'd be delighted but the topsy turvy nature of this league guarantees nothing and its there for the taking. Derry v Westmeath will decide who goes through I reckon. Louth , Armagh ,Wexford and Galway are as unpredictable as a big heap of snow in the second week of March.

Hats off to Westmeath. They are having a great run, would be great to see them in the final.

Very tight division. I'm disappointed that Longford are pointless. I feel this is not a true reflection of their team. They could have won most of their games but they will learn from all these games and hopefully come back stronger.

Derry in with a good shout with two home games left out of three but it is a very tricky division to call. Saw Heslin last year in Mullingar - smashing player as everyone has said. In the first half when Derry were on top he was outstanding and when his colleagues joined in in the second half, we were hammered off the park!

Expect a few shocks, Clarke back in for Louth and the other Clarke out for Armagh, I expect a shock win for Louth. Derry should be too good for Longford at home and revenge is on the cards from the qualifiers. Laois will beat Galway. The other "shock" will be Wexford to beat Westmeath.

Derry, Armagh, westmeath all to win and maybe a draw to Laios against Galway.

Far from being as negative as my fellow Galway posters i actually think we are starting to get it together. We have one or two midfiield options (still u21) to come in from the impressive 2011 all ireland u21 winners. Promotion may be beyond us as tonight is very tricky and we have defensive frailties. If we win tonight we will go up. Think Derry, Armagh and Wexford will win the other ties this wend.

It's funny how no matter how many games westmeath win they are still expected to lose the next one.

Hopefully the media etc keep saying they will lose the next game as its suiting Westmeath just fine!

Nobody's writing off Westmeath , i was only pointing out that they are playing well but every time hits a wall at some point and i think wexford will do it.I detest the victim everyone against us card. Good luck in the rest of the league
