Very tight division. THE_SNAPPER (Louth) - Posts: 2019 - 03/03/2013 20:27:08 1341985 Link 0 |
I can't believe Galways second half performance. Very disappointed. They had a 6 point lead, home field, the wind in the second half, etc and yet they screwed it up and were lucky to salvage a draw against Westmeath. Whatever good the Galway hurlers will do I'd say the Galway footballers will do nothing. Pathetic. WoodlawnPat (Galway) - Posts: 288 - 03/03/2013 21:13:05 1342034 Link 0 |
I wouldent be surprised if div 2 came down to points difference its so close.Hopefully Wexford will stay up but seems like we were crap today. juniorbsub (Wexford) - Posts: 646 - 03/03/2013 21:30:46 1342045 Link 0 |
I don't know Woodlawn. I mean it was a game we were expecting to win and after the first half and playing with the wind i thought we would - but in the last few minutes, after Westmeath got the goal I thought they were going to run away with it. We did well to come back into the game and really should have closed it out with a win. On the bright side it was a close game that we didn't lose and we showed a bit of bottle coming back into the game. tribeinbrum (Galway) - Posts: 4155 - 04/03/2013 13:55:35 1342419 Link 0 |
It is a common fact that the Galway footballers think a game is only 35 minutes long. ahsure. (Galway) - Posts: 1729 - 04/03/2013 14:24:37 1342442 Link 0 |

Looks like we're doomed to go straight back down....fairly sickening loosing 3 games by a combined 5 points! Of the three Westmeath at home should have gotten something since we have just the 3 home fixtures but the Wexford away match was absolutely thrown away! mrblob (Longford) - Posts: 71 - 04/03/2013 15:50:49 1342542 Link 0 |
Has anyone told the Galway footballers that the league has started? festinog (Galway) - Posts: 3152 - 04/03/2013 16:59:35 1342609 Link 0 |
It's all part of the masterplan to ambush Mayo Festy!!!!! tribeinbrum (Galway) - Posts: 4155 - 04/03/2013 17:03:31 1342611 Link 0 |
Ah now Galway lads we are not falling for that. If we don't buck up ourselves, we will also be in a relegation battle. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11689 - 04/03/2013 17:17:11 1342623 Link 0 |
@Tribe: Ah! That aulde County Board: here we've been maligning them all these years when it turns out that the last 10 years has just been a cunning ruse to lull Mayo into a false sense of security! Pure Genius! festinog (Galway) - Posts: 3152 - 04/03/2013 17:34:55 1342646 Link 0 |

Mayo are going to easily beat us poor Tribes in the championship. No Mayo man, woman or child can argue that fact. ahsure. (Galway) - Posts: 1729 - 04/03/2013 18:24:54 1342698 Link 0 |

Great open game against Derry last night - a draw was probably fair enough. crossranger (Armagh) - Posts: 96 - 10/03/2013 10:13:09 1346185 Link 0 |

Starting to think Westmeath might have a half decent team. Heslin is incredible. Young player of the year if he was from anywhere else. square_ball_69 (Westmeath) - Posts: 826 - 10/03/2013 19:28:04 1346514 Link 0 |
Westmeath are actually an alright team as it turns out. Heslin is just unreal. Surely a contender for YFOTY. Has any u21 been as good as him so far? square_ball_69 (Westmeath) - Posts: 826 - 10/03/2013 20:11:38 1346576 Link 0 |
