Ollie,

Meath stronger than, Laois and Armagh = catch a grip- meath should have been in division 3 last year and were hammered by monaghan team in div 3 this year,

Cuchulainn Tyrone and Kildare who went up last year are stronger then Armagh and Laois who came down. Monaghan and Meath who got relegated are stronger then Longford and Wexford. Thats my opinion. You cant judge a team by one result.

Look I have nothing against Louth just from what I saw of them on Sunday they seemed poor, with improvement they have a chance. But the way they played against a team they could have beaten suggests things don't look good for them.

In my humble opinion I wouldn't have Louth stronger then either wexford or Longford and I base this on the last two years on the three teams .. Any team that loses in there first two or three games are going to be in trouble in this group as majority of teams are on the same level.. Laois would be my exception and my tip go up.. Any of the rest could go up or likewise go down..

Armagh are indeed weak this year and had a number of debutants including an 18yr old playing, and they could be relegated this year. With all their injuries and the Crossmaglen story things could be different......
Last year they led Donegal with minutes remaining in the final Div 1 league match - if they won that they were safe, but they were relegated and there is no complaints,
but certain counties have a reputation that they are better than they are:-when did Meath last win something at any level, true they have many fine players, but Division 3 is where they should have been 12 months ago, only the calculator gave them a repreieve

people saying meath and monaghan are stronger than laois. They must be forgetting laois knocked meath out of leinster and monaghan out of the qualifers

I think Galway and Laois will be the two teams to go up, with Laois more than likely coming top.

Westmeath lost their first game last year and got ABSOLUTELY HAMMERED by Meath in the second game to put Meath on 4 points. Westmeath stayed up with 6, Meath went down with 4. Nothing decided till after week 4 at the earliest.

Another win for Westmeath. The young team they have are flying. They may well surprise a few in the league.

Excellent performance today by Derry. With two difficult games now gone, they are back in the shake-up for promotion, perhaps, if they can keep up the level of intensity they showed today.

After that win yesterday we're in a good position. But hard to tell since other games were called off. We'll need another win to be safe. If we can get that the next day we should really be going for promotion.

Great win for Louth. Shocking stuff from Galway, what are they at. Wexford giving Armagh a thumping at the mo 3-3 to 0-1.

Some revival from Armagh there to earn a draw.

Who thinks the top 4 belong in a 12-team Div One and the lower 4 should be merged with the next division in a new 12-team Div Two ?
Divide each dozen into four seeded pots - each ream plays two from each pot for an 8-game program - a draw producing three groups, each team hosts one of the other groups, plays away at the other and avoids the three in its own group.
Playoffs - 2nd hosts 3rd to decide who plays away to 1st in each league final - 2up- 2down.
