That cuts both ways. Most of Kildare, Meath, Carlow, Louth, Cavan, Wicklow & Westmeath are refugee Dubs.

A lot of the culchies who went to Dublin have now become naturalised Dubs & their children are true blues. The population swing over the last few decades has been extraordinary. In my own area for example the number of kids in the local National school has gone down from 260 to 120 since 1975. Worrying times to be a culchie.

Many of the sons and daughters of the so called culchies play for Dublin clubs and some graduate to play for Dublin. Just as in Kildare the sons and daughters of
Dubs do likewise with maybe the execption of Dubs living in borders area such as Celbridge etc.
