once and for all please listen DUBLIN DO NOT GET THE GATE MONEY FROM PLAYING IN CROKE PARK EVERY COUNTY GETS A SHARE. hill16no1man (Dublin) - Posts: 12665 - 23/01/2013 13:18:42 1322287 Link 0 |
Things are what they are & let's just get on with it. Dublin will always be a top side & with what they have coming through they will stay a top side. The comfort for the rest of the counties is that talent alone will not win you an All Ireland. We have seen a variety of teams coming to the fore in recent years & a dominant Dublin should be a spur for everyone else. After all nothing tops beating the Dubs especially in Croke Park!! hill16no1man: very simplistict argument you make about home advantage not helping a team. Can you explain how 75% of Heineken Cup Q/F's are won by the home team then, as for soccer I am sure man Utd win more home than away games, stats don't lie. My point was Dublin generate probably 10 times more money than any other team in Leinster and they can plough this money into juvenile squads. We can already see how far Dublin have moved ahead of the rest at minor level, they hammered every team in Leinster last year. All I was saying it is not a level playing field. gaa has never been a level playing field athboy...counties like longford have never been able to compete with bigger counties such as dublin cork kerry etc largely due to not having the numbers or being a big enough county ffgg (Longford) - Posts: 2571 - 23/01/2013 13:49:01 1322324 Link 0 |

1 issue id have is dublin getting all home games but its not their fault either it just makes sense for the gaa for dublin to play their games at home...it comes down to making money a lot of the time ffgg (Longford) - Posts: 2571 - 23/01/2013 14:02:13 1322335 Link 0 |
Life isn't fair, Dublin play at home & get cheap All Ireland tickets, Man Utd get panalties at Old Trafford & all Donegal men are impossibly handsome & great with women. MuckrossHead (Donegal) - Posts: 5028 - 23/01/2013 14:13:48 1322349 Link 0 |

Tend to actually disagree with the original statement, yes Dublin gaa is the best financed in country, as for sponsor yeah they got a big name but then so does cork, and as of this year so has meath. I think a lot of the problem within counties financially are predominantly their own fault, who is in charge etc, royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 23/01/2013 14:24:44 1322361 Link 0 |

Ha I couldn't careless about spellings but if your going to start pulling lads up on it make sure you have your own house in order first. Yeah until we start dominating there's nothing really to give out about yet. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 23/01/2013 15:01:31 1322413 Link 0 |
