papers will tell you 6 thousand but i dont know where another 4 thousand would have fit haha id say they must have put that out to keep health and saftey off their backs as the stand was full and both terraces had big crowds too

Ye there were defo more than 6,000 at it. Maybe you could have fit a few more in but not much. My guess would have been more like 9,000 +.

yeah somehwere around the 9 thousand proabably correct as hard to know what they deem as the capacity as the terrace side of the pitch the wall along the pitch was full the whole way down would you count that in the capacity of a ground or would they be measured as people who would should have been on the steps haha
just like the far end of the stand theres a little roof and was full with people standing,some people love to watch matches from strange positions.
like in tullamore for the hurling there were people standing on the flat grass behind the goal at the backwall you would hardly see anything with people in front of you

I wouldn't say 6,000 is too far wrong. I was in the stand which was almost full but there seemed to be plenty room in the terrace from what I could see.

i have never heard an attendance been given in parnell park so i think when the papers give it always has estimate or around wrote beside the figure so they more the likely just guessing the terrace the side of pitch was pretty full if you were to make the ones standing along the wall onto the steps there wouldnt have been any room
