Dubs in 1958 won O'Byrne Cup, League (beat Kildare in final), Leinster and All Ireland!

Meath went on to meet Dublin in the O'Byrne Shield final at Parnell Park. A great game in which Dublin beat Meath by 3 or 4 points in extra time. A Brian Cullen fisted goal was the decisive score with Paul Casey lifting the shield. Of course most of us just rolled out of bed to attend and didn't have to make a long 48K round trip like our poor Donegal brothers and sisters :) Mind you the drive down to Carla a few weeks ago seemed to take an age! There was a capacity crowd that night in Donnycarney 2010 so circa 10K. Not bad for a B final.

Rifght so what's the predicition. I'm going for a Kildare win after which Dublin posters will attempt to say that it was Dublin's second team against Kildare's first team even though both will probably have roughly the same number of players that started a championship game last season.

Easy now doublehop : ), the result means nothing to us at this stage, full team or not, win or lose, like I said in a previous post, competitive training session!

Lashing down here all day I'd be very surprised if Parnell Park is playable tomorrow night.

Was thinking the same clondalkindub. Would be surprised if it goes ahead. Would need to be serious drying tomorrow. Unless of course they move it to Croker?

Move the game to a Kildare venue then! It's only fair after Kildare agreed to move the league fixture to Dublin.......

Yeah unlikely to go ahead I would say. If it does then Dubs by 4.

Tonight's Dublin-UCD Walsh Cup game was postponed in Parnell Park anyway. Be some turnaround for it to be ready tomorrow as I don't see the rain stopping anytime soon...
