Leaba i measc na naomh duit a Phaidí.

Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann. Leath chúlaí den scoth ab ea é.

Comhbhrón dá bhean chéile agus dá chlann.

RIP

Jacko and Spillane were the engine room of that great Kerry side, Kennelly and Liston the power, and Sheehy and Egan were the class, but Paidi was its heart and soul. He swashbuckling style on the field was matched only by his huge charisma off it. He was as proud and partisan a Kerryman as one could find, yet Paidi's roguish charms meant that fans all over the country loved him as though he was one of their own.

The GAA has lost a true legend today, and I don't use that term lightly. RIP, P.Se.

I think many will see his greatest achievement was winning westmeaths first and only leinster in 2004 beating dublin on the way. While in the greater scheme of things its only small compared to all ire captain, player and manager, the county of westmeath went delirious and he will always be as much thought of in the lake county as he will be in the kingdom.
Rip.

It's certainly very high up there. Also beat Offaly who they have beaten since the 40's and Laois who were champions in a replay.
Watched Marooned last night. The 'f**ked over the line like a loaf of bread' sermon was pure Paidi. Some great footage of him on the line. Fantastic show. When he was Kerry manager you'd spend half the time watching him prowling the line and reacting as if he was waiting for the breaking ball. This loss will be badly felt by all GAA folk not just Kerry.
