The word legend is bandied about far too often, a term often totally wrongly bestowed on the likes of Alan Brogan etc (who are v.good players obviously)Paídí was a TRUE legend of the game. A phenomenal record as player and as manager. Shocked and saddened by the news today, the GAA has lost a great charcater. Legend of a man. Met him down in Kerry in 2011. Seeing how big of fans we were he took us over to his house and took out his all Ireland's for the first time since his mothers wake. My brother got the privilege of Páidí handing him one of his medals and informing him that it was the first time anyone outside the family had held his medal.
