Kerry v Galway in the 2007 1/4 final, served up the highest standard of football despite a freakish downpour. Meehan kicked 11 points, Big Joe was sensational and Kerry's attacking with the greatest forward line ever seen was spell binding. The rain was so bad we were ushered from the lower tier of the Hogan to the upper.

Meath and Kildare in 1997 was an incredible battle. The two best teams in the country that year. I've always had the heigth of respect for Meath and their supporters despite growing up a mile from the Meath bridge.

Donegals performance against Cork was the best I've ever seen from my county.

Enjoyed very much the quarter-final replay against Galway in 2003, Also there was a great game in the qualifiers in 2009 against Derry that wen't to extra time. Really good game that one.

And how could I forget!!! The quarter final with Kildare in 2011 is probably the best of the lot for sheer drama!

1. 1999 Connacht Final, Mayo v Galway, Mayo hitting 8 unanswered points in the second half in a wet day in Tuam, Made famous by the match being delayed 15 minures because President McAleese was attending and got stuck in traffic and several spectators standing on the roof of the changing rooms.

2. 2004 All Ireland Quarter Final, Mayo v Tyrone, Mayo showed great guts to it four points after Stephen O'Neills thunderbolt goal.

3. 2006 All Ireland Semi Final, Mayo v Dublin, I admit it as a bit cheeky on Mayo's part to warm up in front of the Hill, but to come back from seven points down to win by one. When Ger Canning's voice gets hoarse, you know it was a cracker and summed it up in two words. 'Unrehearsed Drama'.

4. 2012 All Ireland Semi Final, Mayo v Dublin, A near role reversal from 2006 and even more tense too. Mayo ten points up and treading water near the end. Kevin McLoughlin came back on to steady the ship.

I have been very lucky to have been to many great games but without a doubt the greatest game of gaelic football ever ( Michael from RTE agrees) was the Down v Derry USFC 1994 1st round game.

Pure classic - nothing before or since compares- this was a classic

Galway-Kilkenny 2005. The greatest game ever to be played in Croke Park too, might I add.

A lot of great games... for me the All Ireland football final of 2011 with Cluxton pointing in the last minute or so was unbelieveable for excitement... as was Seamus Darby's goal. They are matched by Peter Canavan's precision goal .

In hurling, Clare winning their first All Ireland or Johnny Flaherty's goal... very hard to pick one!

Donegal V Cork 2012

An unreal game of football, just a different class. Some wonderful scores from both teams, hunger, desire and super footballers on show.

Donegal arrived with intent as an All-Ireland winning force that day too.
