The best game I have ever attended was the Derry V Down Ulster Championship 1st round 1994. We may be swayed by county allegiance but this game is widely regarded as one of the best ever played. ballybannongael (Down) - Posts: 547 - 12/12/2012 13:43:36 1309558 Link 0 |

2004 last 12 game vs Donegal. Quality wasnt great. But it was tense. Watched Donegal hit the woodwork. We really got the rub of the green that day. I was away for the QF against Armagh but watched it on the tele live. No feeling like it when Tom Brewster put that ball over the bar. gotmilk (Fermanagh) - Posts: 4971 - 12/12/2012 13:51:27 1309564 Link 0 |
Mine was Derry v Antrim 2000, Anthony Tohill stopped a potential winning point with his fingertips in the last seconds. The Ulster Final that year was also one of the best games I've seen. Derry v Tyrone 2006 maybe is up there as well. WarriorHibernia (Derry) - Posts: 16 - 12/12/2012 13:52:49 1309566 Link 0 |
@ballybannongael I've heard my father talk about that game, I've only seen highlights on youtube though given that I was 2 at the time WarriorHibernia (Derry) - Posts: 16 - 12/12/2012 13:56:17 1309570 Link 0 |
Beating Kerry in the AI final 2011. Nothing has come close to that feeling for me. Not even winning in 95. For sheer surprise though beating Tyrone in 2010 was a great result for us. Jackeen (Dublin) - Posts: 4097 - 12/12/2012 13:57:29 1309573 Link 0 |
In terms of tension and great football it would have to be the 2007 semi-final against the Dubs. Watching the duel between Alan Brogan and Marc O Se that day was a joy to behold! Keane16 (Kerry) - Posts: 306 - 12/12/2012 14:02:27 1309576 Link 0 |

Either the first Kildare-Meath replay in '97 or the Dublin-Mayo game in 2006. doublehop (Kildare) - Posts: 4172 - 12/12/2012 14:05:55 1309579 Link 0 |

Kerry v Dublin 09 QF. Kerry showed how the game was to be played that day. My fav moment was when Mike McCarthy, the most underated footballer kerry ever produced controlled the ball with his head, when he was maurading out of defence. kerryrowz (Kerry) - Posts: 833 - 12/12/2012 14:21:24 1309587 Link 0 |
