What Kildare need is to give young players a chance. doublehop (Kildare) - Posts: 4172 - 05/12/2012 09:48:05 1306633 Link 0 |
Sad to see Oisin going off today, apparently though he had an injury coming into the game. His experience was a big loss to Cross near the end. Could that be his last game? gaelicgab (USA) - Posts: 878 - 16/02/2013 21:38:48 1335037 Link 0 |
Great player and Cross went badly off form after he came off. They just didn't seem to get into the game at all but fair play to St. Brigid's, they didn't really let them. Ulsterman (Antrim) - Posts: 9819 - 16/02/2013 21:43:33 1335042 Link 0 |

Hope this isn't his last game, great footballer and a nice guy, was lucky enough to have him train myself and my team on a couple of occasions and its safe to say hes football mad and has a great knowledge of the game. If this is goodbye to his playing days I have little doubt that we'll see him again in management in the future. CaisleanCnucha (Dublin) - Posts: 1379 - 16/02/2013 21:59:21 1335065 Link 0 |
amazing how long they had since their last game and they couldn't get Oisin fit for this big game valley84 (Westmeath) - Posts: 1903 - 17/02/2013 09:17:04 1335072 Link 0 |

St Brigids better team yesterday cuchulainn35 (Armagh) - Posts: 1688 - 17/02/2013 15:27:20 1335201 Link 0 |
I wouldn't say better cuchulainn they were most certainly the more dogged, hungrier and determined team and that's what got them across the line. Cross were really off form and missed some awful frees but the odd times they did play they opened up St. Brigid's; they didn't do it enough though. Absolutely delighted for Brigids. Cross were a great team but hopefully that's the last of them now. Roll on Patrick's day. square_ball_69 (Westmeath) - Posts: 826 - 17/02/2013 17:08:40 1335237 Link 0 |

I can't see how people reckon thats the end of Crossmaglen, the team is pretty young and they were missing 3 players (4 if you include Oisin) yesterday from last years victory. They will be the team to beat next year. geoff (Tyrone) - Posts: 377 - 18/02/2013 09:25:17 1335413 Link 0 |
Who are the three they were missing? only one chance was made from Ulster final and 37 year old Oisín McConville won't be around forever. Gaa_lover (USA) - Posts: 3659 - 18/02/2013 16:41:17 1335667 Link 0 |
Cross missed a handy goal and bridget s got a luck one ,dolan's heavy tackle on macname which resulted in the ball breaking down for a handy tap in .noting in it .cross still the best team in the country at present Midlu1 (Louth) - Posts: 790 - 18/02/2013 16:55:01 1335675 Link 0 |
Franny Hanratty, mickey mc namee and stephen finnegan were all unavailable from the team that won the AI. Oisin has nothing to prove to anyone and his decision to stay or go will be respected whatever happens. Hard to replace but there is plenty of talent in the club to compensate.
