Limerick beat Longford last year and everyone on this expects them to do well next year and not a mention of Limerick.

It's just that Limerick have Cork & Kerry to contend with, while Longford are on the handy side of the Leinster draw which contains less 'scary' propositions. If we were talking about the qualifiers they would be seen on a similar level!

All of my 11 counties Ive listed above will have a say. Anyone who right off counties like Down, Armagh, Galway, Meath kildare, laois from having a say is not clued in to the game. Everyone of the favorites can be beaten by any of these sides on a giving day!

EVERY county can have a say - Of the ones you have listed above - I believe one of them could make a semi but wont win the all ireland in 2013.

Donegal before 2011 was considered weaker county, dont see why any of my 11 should be ruled out of winning Sam!

Grasping at straws galway1974, galway downhill, sure ye might get a zimmer frame for padraic joyce, while i accept he was a class footballer in his time, he should be put out to pasture, its a young mans game. ye need to blood new players in the league, even big joe knew it was time to give up.

Never said that Galway will win Sam next year but 100% believe that we will beat Mayo in the opening round of next year championship. I dont think Padraig will make the starting 15 but will come on and pop a few over or even one in the back of the Mayo net like he does every year. Young mans game thats true but I can guarantee you Mayo defense would still shake in their boots if Padraig is hanging around the full forward line.

Well put it this way... They just need to be more weary of weaker counties and some... draw was made.

They are weary of weaker counties...weary of LOSING to them!!! Sorry I know you've had the 'Croak Park' thing already but that's too tempting. Seriously though Gaillimh senior football in serious crisis, team has an attitude problem.

I don't agree by saying that Donegal were a weaker county pre-2011. Unachievers, yes. Weaker, no.

I do agree with you however that any of the 11 teams you named are capable of beating each other on a given day. Down, Armagh, Meath et al are capable of beating Dublin, Kerry, Cork et al. That's been shown over the past number of years. The problem they do have is beating two or even three of these teams in Championship football, and that is where the difference usually comes.

Take my own county for example; do I think Tyrone are good enough to beat Donegal, Dublin, Kerry, Cork, Mayo. On their day, yes, of course they are. Do I think Tyrone are good enough to beat three of these teams in a row to win an All-Ireland (like Donegal had to do this year) - no.

Thats a very good point. i think teams like meath, tyrone, down etc are all very capable of beating one of the top teams but its about consistency. ive always thought that meath could beat anyone on their day but its about putting in a few brilliant performances to win an all ireland and i think thats where these teams just fall behind.

Unachievers, Weaker whatever both sound the same to me. Donegal would not be even considered in any forum 1 year ago as winning Sam 2012, yet you have people come on here and post that only 5 counties have a chance of winning Sam, Donegal, Tyrone, Dublin, Kerry and Mayo. Donegal came to force in one 2 years work and won Sam, beat all the big names in doing so and are the worthy champions. Nothing can stop any of my 11 counties doing that. Favorites tags means nothing, tradition always surfaces again and the counties with the better tradition will always resurface. Meath, Galway, Cork and Armagh outside of the favorites will have their year again and who knows after Donegals sudden emergence that could well be 2013!
