Tyrone 20/1? Oh I think they are well worth a flutter. If they can stay injury free I think they will do serious damage. But that's the thing can they keep their players injury free

1301356 There will be no dark horses

It's Kerry, Cork, Dublin, Donegal

In whatever order suits you best

Personally... my money is on Kerry.

Are Mayo not gonna feature next year jimbo?

I also think Longford will contest a Leinster final this year. I know if Kildare had to play them in Pearse Park I'd be very worried. Amazing that a county with such a small population can produce alot of top quality footballers

Some people are saying Kerry to win Sam on this and other threads but realistically semi final is probably the best they will do. A new manager was a start but Eamon needs to bring in younger players if Kerry are to get back to winning like they have been doing for the past 8 or 9 years.
Laois are my dark horses made a quarter final apperance last year and gave the dubs a fright. Tyrone will be probably in the last 8 or so aswell and after that evryone knows how good Tyrone are come that stage of the championship.

Galway wont come within an asses roar of Mayo next year.Miles miles behind Mayo.Take you're head out of the clouds

--------------------------------------

Galway will play Mayo in the first game of the championship so you can forget about getting within of that asses roar. If Galway beat Mayo in this one game then the complexion of the bookies fav will change dramatically. Everyone knows that if Galway get to croak Park they never disgrace themselves unlike other connaught sides. Galway are a croak park team. They improve with the open space everytime they get there. They one of 3 teams that play football (not handball) along with Kerry and Down. We may not get to croak park every year but when we do we at the very least compete at the highest standards. As for saying that we lost to Sligo and Antrim last year, well I think that the players themselves know now that you cant take any game for granted and I just feel that if Mayo think that way too about Galway too they will be caught cold very early in the championship. Whenever Galway and Mayo meet its always a close encounter and next year will be no different. My Darkhorse is for Galway to beat Mayo and Im sticking with it.

Croak Park eh? Has it been that long you've forgotten how to spell it?

Or is that somewhere Galway win games because they certainly don't win any in Croke Park?

I fancy Cork to be a lot stronger this year. The Dubs wont be far off either. Kerry and Donegal to go out in the Semis

doublehop ha realized my typo error after I sent, but you know what I meant. We are 3 in rankings with football titles behind Kerry and Dublin. Anyone to right of Galway football just yet are not we probably be made eat their words. Not saying that we will win sam next year but I do fancy them to take Mayo out in the their first game. If they can do that Ill be happy for now.

Croke Park team? When was the last time Galway won a game at Croke Park, just because you get to Croker once every 5 or 6 years and give Kerry a decent game(in 08) doesnt make you a Croke Park team!

Big chance for Meath in Leinster imo if they get they're act together and if Kildare and Laois can improve, Dublin are there for the taking. Next year will be interesting to see how Donegal cope with Mcguiness juggling two jobs ( gone from Monday to Wednesday for training so his assistant will be talking training I believe), Cork should have got rid of Counihan, a better manager would be winning the All Ireland with that group of players nearly every year, but they will there or thereabouts next year, Kerry of course will challenge and I think Mayo will be gearing up for another pop at Sam!

Well put it this way, we are the only county in Connaught who seem to take the Sam home when we get to the all Ireland final. Mayo seem to settle for second best when they get the opportunity. Galway traditionally improve the longer they stay in the championship. They just need to be more weary of weaker counties and some of our players need to take their heads out of the sand and start proving that our county is still a force by winning games. The thread is about dark horses and Im just saying that my dark horse is for Galway to beat Mayo. Thats not saying anymore or less about how far we will get in next years championship, but with Mayo (all ireland runners up) disposed off in the first round it will bring a lot of confidence back in the Galway camp. Im sure they are focused on this game since the draw was made.

Cavan/Armagh have a great chance of making the Ulster final. Armagh are not the force they were and they have the problems with Crossmaglen's success, whereas Cavan reached the lowest period of their transition over the past 2 seasons, so it's upwards only for them.

for anybody hyping up longford paul barden suffered a serious injury a while back and is likely to miss most of the league i think so he would do well to be in any sort of shape for the championship

Limerick to ruffle a few feathers and make the quarters in 2013, before perhaps shocking another to make a semi! ;)
