1299497 Truth is it shows how much of a job Gilroy done, Tyrone, Armagh and Kerry. all beaten under gilroys reign. Im glad a lot of crap from pillars reign is gone

in fairness it isnt too hard to beat tyrone and armagh now, they've both gone back alot since they won alll irelands.

Think donegals hardest game last year was tyrone, are kerry easy to beat?, armagh not as good but they still have to be beat.

that was some performance start to finish by the dubs connolly was on firel, its hard to think why the scoreline wasnt bigger there game play was flawless for the 70 mins and the conditions were pretty miserable which makes some of connolly's points pure class.....

it would have been more if we had of taken the goal chances we missed 3 or 4 that day but we didnt need them.

1299898 There was no hype in 2010 and 2011. Kerry don't win SAM every year. They win about once every three to four years. We win it once every five years. Thats on average

3 All Irelands since 1983 averages nearly once every 10 years for ye??

I wouldn't be slagging. If Fitzmaurice dosen't turn things around this year we could be looking at a famine for you lot. Three years and counting a mhac.

26 All Irelands in 125 years = just over 1 in every five years.

See McGuinness reckons Donegal are only at 60-65% of what they can be. The man has proven he can back up what he says. Should the rest of the country be afraid if Donegal even raise it another 10%?

I read a quote from him saying that during the week all right. It sounds frightening. He said after they lost to the Dubs in 2011 that only step one out of three had been completed adn he had no problem backing that up. The only thing is however, after there win this year will complacency set in? Will they be trotted around the county, when told, showing off SAM? Will McGuinness be able to give 100% because of Celtic job? I think whatever way these questions are answered will have a bearing on where SAM goes next year.

Cork let themselves down badly in 2012 - they should double down and come thru in 2013.
If the non repeat trend of last five yrs continues - then I'd say Mayo at lastM

Donegal, Dublin, Mayo, Cork and Kerry are all capable of beating each other any given day. Outside of these the next best equipped is Tyrone, capable of beating one of the top teams but at the same time wouldn't be too far ahead of some of the teams below them. Following them are Meath, Kildare, Armagh, Down and Laois, again all at a similar level, would have an outside chance of beating one of the teams above them but that'd be the only big win they'd get, wouldn't have it in them to go out and beat two or three of the top teams one after the other.

Donegal, Dublin, Mayo and one of Cork / Kerry will be in the quarter finals as provincial winners, every chance four of these will be in the semi finals too, all depends on what route the losers of the Munster final (assuming Cork and Kerry both reach it) get through the qualifiers.

Donegal probably have a better chance of retaining their title next year than the last three winners had of retaining theirs, rightly favourites with the bookies.

If I was putting money on it now I'd plump for Dublin. If Alan Brogan can stay fit and his brother returns to form they will be hard to beat.

It's between Donegal,Dublin,Kerry,Cork they are the top four sides in Ireland and will be a major shock if one of those four sides don't bring home Sam in 2013

If the Dublin players can gain some confidence, which is an are where they are lacking, they have to be the no 1 contenders, with Cork Donegal and Kerry in order.

I think having a new manager will probably count against Dublin in 2013. If Jim Gavin sets up his stall they way he wants, the team will need time to gel. I think they could well make the SF or Final, but its probably unfair to put that expectation on a new manager of Dublin.

Donegal and Mayo will be a nightmare for anybody they face. It remains to be seen if Cork can step on from last season, they are a top 3 team regardless.

Kerry like Dublin may need time to gel, and Tyrone too are untested.
