ASDFG,

No I would be against E30 for any meal.
Hire a hall and let the Chinease feed us with Chicken Chon mein at E7.95
Waste of money to give E30 for a meal.
If you take the price of driving up from Cavan (or take the bus) petrol tyres toll money ect and to be asked for E30 at the doore I think it is a bit much.

We may not all be as well healed as you, if you took it that a lot of the posters may be unemployed, small farmers or people with low income you will E3o would mean so much to them.

We should have it in Donal's place Tom (Imperial Bar).. No need for you to get lost in the big smoke.

Tom comes up with this every year. Tom if you are so pally with Donal why don't you arrange it for the Imperial. I'm sure Donal would put on a good spread for a reasonable price. All us Cavan folk will turn up. you can issue passwords to us all on here. you can have stickers made out with all our HS names. when we give the password we will be given the sticker. Best get it sorted up soon though as most places will be already booked out.

The image you see will still fall short of the reality that is........'Snufalufagus'!!

I bet if it was outside Dublin the Dubs wouldn't like it. Bit like if a Championship game was moved from Croker to a neutral ground, wha!

Jon carter,

For you that comes from the bogs/mountains of Galway to describe any of Tomsmith ideas as being foolish is lamentable.
Indeed this idea is one that should be encouraged, for the following reasons
No 1 It brings people from different areas together(Social inclusion) for a night
No 2 People of diverse views could mix with more promiment posters ie posters with 1000 plus posts
No 3 We could have workshops for negative posters who could some day take it upon themselves to come up with a brilliant idea like a H/S Xmas do

S Goldrick,

It is pleasent to know that someone of 1700 posts would acknowledge that indeed my contribution to H/S is indeed special.
I have tried over the years to make valued contribbutions to all issues.
In your post of the 7th November you put forward the idea of a Cavan post in Donals premises.
I feel that is agreat idea.
As I am trying to organise the national one I will give you full support for your Cavan one.
Just take it on board yourself and maybe Sean o Rian would give you a hand.
