Wild Geese is probably the most bizarre named club in Dublin.

1281756 I think most lads enjoy a dirty game every now and then.

Once it doesn't become a bloody affair...

Itd be a case of nobber just pumping the balls in deep around the box

Some good ones in Cavan, Mullahoran Dreadnoughts and Drung Dalcassians are some good ones. There are a lot of old club names that have feel by the wayside, Finea Knights of Freedom, Loughduff Millesians, Doogarry Raparees, Killeshandra Fontenoys. An awful pity these are gone, but some of these were clubs within other parishes and got incorporated into other clubs who survive today.

Great stuff lads, admin have stopped lesser comments that have gone before, looks like he/she has a dirty little mind. Just a note on one of the suggested match-ups mentioned above, I believe Nobber had to come from behind to eventually drown out the Muff challange : )

Celebrity Bainisteoir Final 2013
Muff (Dún na nGall) 1-14
Nobber (An Mhí) 2-10

Nobber took to the field up for the challenge that lay ahead whereas Muff on the other hand were ragged looking. Straight from the off Nobber got stuck in trying hard to penetrate Muff who did their best not to let them get in behind. Play swayed from side to side with both sides having dominant times on top but the half ended all square and both teams in need of the break. The start of the second half saw Muffs purple period. It was during this phase that Nobber got dirty which seemed to affect their game and render them impotent with Muff constantly in their faces. The referee looked like he had lost control of the game but he got tough and took Nobber in hand which seemed to shake them up a bit and focus on the task in front of them . The last few minutes were frantic with Nobber throwing everything at Muff though it was too little too late as Muff came out on top by the smallest of margins. A close shave for Muff in the end with Nobber left to limp home.

Nobber have requested a replay of the final against Muff. After an inquiry, it appears Fighting Cocks were playing on the Muff side.
Nobber offered to play the replay on Muff's pitch but the game was abandoned after 5 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch.
