well ronaldo is well documented as coming from nothing as is balotelli who was abandoned by his parents which has been heavily covered in the media so i dont exactly know your point here?...how about you actually try and have an actual debate instead of resorting to making silly comments about people?

hes playing sport he never played before hes taking it up at the age of 19 and will be up against guys who have played it since they were kids do you think an english soccer player could come over here at the same age and take up hurling and make it into the kilkenny or galway first team in 2 years?

No but in fairness there's not a lot of crossover between the skillset used in soccer and the one required to be a good hurler (physicality aside).

At least in Kilkenny's case he'll already have some of the basic skills, the biggest problem will be adapting to the differently shaped ball, but as others have proved it's very doable.

didn't see Hill making to much of a fuss about this issue before when it was players, from Down, Kerry, Carlow etc that were going to Oz, Now that its the next supertar of Dublin GAA its become a major issue for him.

Perhaps some of our county sides should go down to Australia and try and recruit a couple of their guys! There must be some excellent players knocking around who don't quite make it...

The lure of the fixed up job by the county board will probably decimate the VFL.

Only a bit of craic lads, but yeah I suppose it would depend on where they were living. Maybe Parnells or Kilmacud Crokes might start up a recuitment campaign!

That'd be a very worrying type of expo I'd imagine.

An expo held by companies from foreign countries looking to hire aptly qualified Irish people (many of whom are out of work in their own country) is slightly different to the government trying to get rid of its own citizens isn't it?

Or are all these people looking for a better chance in life sell outs too?
