1260769 No reflection on Donegal supporters as a whole, few idiots found in every counties following.

So who does this action reflect then? Kerry Supporters maybe.
It was done by Donegal fans end of! A total disgrace.

I utterly condemn any attack on Pat Spillane. His job as a pundit is to give his opinion. I for one do not agree with most of what he says but I absolutely defend his right to say it. He was up in Donegal at an Ulster Bank gaa road show a few weeks back and the Donegal fans he met at O'Donnell Park in Letterkenny are more representative of true fans than the couple of thugs he met on Clonliffe Road. Apologies Pat from a true Donegal fan.

Jimbo and Ulsterman, ye would really want to take a dose of some serious cop on!!!!!
I would expect that muck from Ulsterman, am really genuinely surprised at your reply Jimbo!
Genuinely

This has a touch of the "if your gonna dress like that sure what do you expect love" about it!
And that is vile

The gunfire around us makes it hard to hear.
But the human voice is different from other sounds.
It can be heard over noises that bury everything else.
Even when it's not shouting. Even when it's just a whisper.
Even the lowest whisper can be heard over armies... when it's telling the truth

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spillane was always truthful about Ulster.....he should not be made suffer for it!

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities and the tyranny of evil men.....

Regards,

Snufalufagus....Laochra Gael

Thank you for that post and I hope we can show you the respect on the 23rd that the true Donegal GAA fan has for both their opponents and our game.

Ulsterman, that is outrageous. He is entitled to any view he likes. Does that mean that Kerry supporters would be entitled to attack Brolly because he called the Gooch a choker? Whoever was responsible for that are thugs pure and simple and should be identified by decent Donegal fans (99% of them I'm sure) and made sure that they don't get into the final.

I would like to say sorry to Pat for what can only be described and cowardly idoits, I like many others had an issue with him for things he said last year about donegal football and some of our players (ryan bradley) but this is not even anywhere near an excuse to actually phyically harm him.

Pat for all his faults was a top class player and although i dont agree with what he says i do like to hear his opinion just to see what he come out with.

Again apologies to Pat.

Jimbo - have you any Ulster Unionist relatives?
Reason I ask is they were world class at qualified condemnation which inevitably tacit approval.

I'm not a fan of his and consider myself a staunch Tyrone supporter but the danger is people are taking everything much too seriously these days.
I have seen him not be able to contain his delight when Tyrone get knocked down but hate to think of GAA fans forgetting the rich legacy we have all inherited where you support your team, have the banter, but never cross that line. God forbid the dya happens when a GAA club/county actually gets there way with segregation.

Nobody who does something like this to someone who has had such an impact on the game can call themselves a fan. I call myself a Donegal Fan. Those thugs do not belong to the same group of supporters as me. This is just your anti Donegal sentiment running away with itself cacsmckilly.

A man with eight All Ireland medals attacked by knuckle draggin hillbillies outside Croke park? This is a new low.#

And to Ulsterman and jimbo and anyone else trying to condone this behavior (that is what you're doing) - you're just as ignorant for those comments.

Donegal fans: get your house in order - Spillane has never been attacked before, nor Brolly by Kerry fans - It's a obviously a Donegal problem so don't trying to pass the buck!

just because they were wearing Donegal Jerseys does not mean they represent Donegal supporters. There are many incidents where individulas disgraced themselves, should this be reflected on the vast majority of decent fans. How would you feel if you were judged as a Gaa fan and the benchmark others used was these Clowns who attacked PS.

I repeat I condemn this outrageous attack on Pat Spillane who I believe is a very affable fella away from the cameras BUT at the same times are we so stupid and naive not to expect some headers to react to his words which at times can be very offensive and hurtful to others?

But Jimbo you surely understand that it is Spillane's job, just as it is Dunphy's in the soccer and to a lesser extent Hook in the rugby, to make comments which cause debate. As for your chums at BBC, maybe they should take a leaf out of Splillane's book. The likes of Hanson, Shearer, Lineker are among the most mundane, passive and dull pundits you are likely to see. At the end of the day Spillane and Brolly are there to give strong opinions no more than you or I would do in the pub on a Sunday afternoon.

And at the end of the day it is not as if Spillanes comments ever go beyond the line and become actually insulting or "hateful" as you say.

I think both your posts are disgraceful but having read your previous posts it dose not supprise me.

The man regardless if you agree or disagree is entitled to an opinion without fear of being punched by some s**mbag outside croke park.

Complete nonsense....hard to tell if this is a poor WUM effort or the inane ramblings of a simpleton. The latter if I was to hazard a guess.
