Mattie will get an all star but not sure about player of the year, still a fair bit of ball to be played yet. O'Mahony would be a big contender so far. I believe both players were carrying knocks last weekend which says a lot too. RUBADUB (Dublin) - Posts: 477 - 11/08/2008 15:27:57 71111 Link 0 |

Yeah Graham is a shoe-in. In fact it will go to show what a disgrace the all-starts are if he dosen't get POTY. As for YPOTY, I can't see past Cian Ward. Loyal2TheRoyal (Meath) - Posts: 4522 - 11/08/2008 15:57:14 71192 Link 0 |
Tommy Walsh is almost a cert for young player of the year I'd say, providing he and kerry don't have a complete off-day againt cork. Mind you, is Killian Young still eligible for it? He was outstanding against galway. mid-mon man (Monaghan) - Posts: 1680 - 11/08/2008 15:58:33 71199 Link 0 |
Graham Gerathy get an all star this year, highly unlikely to say the least. Wasn't he on the bench for the limerick match?? As for someone suggesting Conor Mortimer getting player of the year, outside of Connaught he wouldn't get his place on any decent intercounty team. His most memorable feature this year was that last minute free he had the audacity to attempt against galway. POTY at the moment is between Aidan O Mahony & Shane Ryan, but that can all change if someone can put 2 great displays back to back(3 in Dublin case!) in the rest of the championship. Matty Forde will get an all star but the fact WExford won't make the final counts him out for POTY woops (Kerry) - Posts: 2073 - 11/08/2008 16:09:33 71217 Link 0 |

well i think when it comes down to allstars and POTY, the first couple of rounds are more or less discounted anyway. essexile (Mayo) - Posts: 429 - 11/08/2008 17:16:49 71323 Link 0 |
