How will Dublin approach the semi final this time?

We all remember 2006 when ciaran whelan's "challenge" on ronan mcgarrity caused mayo's best midfielder to be withdrawn from the game early on. It was clearly something the dubs had decided on beforehand. Interesting tactics though not to everyone's taste of course. Will it be a similar story this time or can we expect something different?

lets hope when mayo come out they head straight for the hill 16 end................dublin will of course be there before them but mayo being there before dublin in 06 didn't stop dublin from taking to that end of the ground also........................it would probably only cost mayo a fine but it would certainly upset dublin AGAIN.............i'd be prepared to contribute something to help mayo pay that fine as i'm sure thousands of others would aswell...............come on mayo lets have yeh...........dublin think they have a god damn given right to warm up at that end of the ground every time...................it's our national gaelic games stadium and it belongs to all the counties EQUALLY therefore dublin should not have a hold on any end of the ground.............yet the gaa always bend over backwards to facilitate the dubs in this area....................come on mayo let them know you mean business........... you'd have the backing of every other county on this....i'm sure.

Why do you assume it upset Dublin? They lost that day fair enough but Tyrone also did the same thing before the 1984 semi final and Dublin went on to beat them well that day. It can also have the opposite effect and fire up the Dubs....and going by their displays so far this year that might be no bad thing.

If Mayo come out and warm up in front of Hill 16 , I can assure you Dublin will not make the same mistake as 06 and come out all guns blazing towards the hill. They will calmly go down to the Canal end goal and just get on with their warm up down there.

I'm really very confident Dublin will up it from their last 3 games all of which we just did enough to scrape over the line. We have no choice but to up it , Wether it will be enough to beat the most incredible Mayo team of all time ? i dont know .. but we will certainly give them a game.

I really think the lads can up the tempo. I say once they run out on the day giller will have them well focused and fired up for it. One things for sure they will need to up there performance because mayo will cause us damage if play the way we have been in previous matches...

im not dublins biggest fan, but i really hope you send them narrow minded westeners back with their tails between legs, mayo are a county of whingers always have been, they dont seem to realise the havent won an all ireland since 1951, galway are the only county in connaught capable of winning an all ireland at football or hurling, galway would be far more respected as a genunine gaa county throughout the rest of ireland,

Lads were judged on all Ireland's , Mayo are judged on the 06 semi final. Other than that they've nothing to talk about.

Defo right there dubby, our approach is about getting our game right and preparing the best we can and try and get a great performance out of this team that we know we are capable of getting. There won't be a repeat of 2006. If they come out first and warm up down the hill end. Let them do it. We won't have a bother going to the canal end. I'll even stand up out of my seat and clap us for doing it. We're bigger than all this crap. That was then... This is now.

i couldnt care less if mayo came out and went to the hill end and i honestly dont think it would phase the dublin team either the best way to counter attck this move is punish them with points on the board nothing else matters......

Most in Dublin no matter what's said here class Mayo no better or worst than Laois,Wexford or Meath the answer is...Dublin will approach the semi final the same way they approached the other games so far this year.
