Agreed bettystownroyal, they are very hard to like! One poster said "the fans travel well",
if only they would bring their manners when they do travel! Up the dubs!

So not everyone likes Mayo... we must be doing something right! As for Mac... I think he has returned enough and owes us nothing. Leave the man alone, and respect his decision.

So far you've bet your house, christmas savings and childrens school money on things, youre either a very confident bloke or trying to get back at the wife for something.

He is a top class man, fantastic footballer. When it comes to charity, no other footballer has done more to help those in need than Ciaran McDonald. He is a "thing" of beauty, a super athlete who was unfortunate enough to be born in Ireland, otherwise he would have been a superstar in a professional sport.

TheMaster Mayo are my least favourite county as well. And I speak on behalf of everyone in Meath.

How dare you. No you do not speak for everyone in Meath. Believe it or not, not everyone in Meath is on HS, get over yourself.

What a legend of a footballer, very few as skilful as this man ever graced a GAA field. He'd prob still be good enough to make a lot of intercounty starting 15s #respect

McDonald is an excellent footballer. The skill he handled the football with it looked like he was born with a football in his hands.

Do ya not get tired of repetition? Different thread same labored opinion. Ya don't like Mayo we get! Perhaps a Mayo person has wronged you in the past, or someone said something mean to ya that hurt ur little feelings, we get, ya don't like us but why you feel its essential to keep repeating it is beyond me. Maybe you're venting your frustration, if so I hope its helping you because its certainly not adding anything to these forums.

I don't get this hatred towards Mayo. I certainly don't get the way some of you judge an entire county or county's fanbase on a GAA forum...

Anyways, Ciaran is one of the best I have ever had the pleasure to see. Don't see him returning, but it would be a turn up!

Look I like mayo as a County some of their people are nicest you could meet the leader of our country regardless of our political views is a decent honourable man and perhaps if he was in that position sooner we may not be where we are, but all aside a decent man. McDonald was a great footballer. So lots of things should be pointing to the masses supporting mayo not least the fact that it's well over 50 years since a I success. But its your incessant whining and Whingers coming from certain players plus when your supporters get to Croke park they become the worst supporters in country. So no its not anti mayo thing. Your former players and your supporters have let you down way too many times when it counts

MCDONALD was a joy to watch, except against my county, he could do unbelievable things with a ball. Had he been a dub, Tyrone or Kerry player his skill would have been lauded more. He took a lot of physical and verbal abuse during games and never lost his composure. Utmost respect for the man.

Correct, a wonderful footballer and it's a shame he wasn't from Kerry or Tyrone or he would have won the All-Ireland's he deserved

Dont think he would have made the kerry team too selfish imo have to be a team player to win medals so that is the reason he hasnt got any. Never showed enough commitment and when it mattered on the big day he didnt show up.
