Why can Galway win all-irelands and Mayo can't?!

The one game kerry wanted to avoid, i fear kerry are in Tyrone postion of 2011, relying on old war horses for the long road. In my opinion this team kerry team have been one of the great teams, Imagine the Gooch has played in 8 finals won 4 lost 4 etc,.

Mickey Harte is a tactical Genius, while J o Connor is a Junior B manager at best. The game will be close but tyrone to edge us by 4 i fear. Tyrone will be a nightmare team for the rest going into August. I will be there at the weekend supporting our boys, i hope Kerry put in a decent performance to build for the 2013 season.

Seems to be a few mayo posters on here hoping for Kerrys demise rather than basing it on anything solid. This game in reality will draw a huge audience and will eclipse the other provincial finals as by and large the draw already sees them into the quarter finals.

I feel the winner of this will cause a huge headache for a provincial winner...Maybe Mayo will then get the chance to sink Kerry once and for all. I do think Killarney may swing this, but if the Tyrone lads travel down in big numbers they could come away with a win. Leave aside your bitterness lads, its easily the biggest game of the championship to date.

Fair play to you mate, I have to laugh at Mayo.
Tyrone, Dublin, Cork and Down, all have a dig at the Kingdom and have the Sams to back up their bravdo. Mayo people have a chip on their shoulder against all the major teams ,(esp Meath and Kerry) because they loose every major Game they play.

Grow a pair Mayo fans.

No I did not! Why are you making stuff up? Regardless we won't be seeing you around these parts for a while after Saturday.

What a great draw Tyrone going in as underdogs against their great old rivals of the last 10 years. You would imagine a win for either side would set them up for a good run. I think the match could go the same way as the Armagh game for Tyrone. We are playing an old rival but neither are the power they once were. Beating Armagh was enjoyable but there was not the same intensity as seven years ago and the same could be said for Saturday.

Micky yes a great manager. Jack the second most successful Kerry Manager in 40 years. Not a bad record. The players are looking tired and the drive is no longer with some of the older ones. Still maybe one big performance in them.

You say the players are looking tired, and yes that was evident vs Westmeath, perhaps the Qualifiers have bored them up until now, who would blame them after the success they have had. But, perhaps drawing Tyrone is the spark this ageing Kerry team need, and lets be honest, if ye's beat Tyrone it would most certainly ignite your season and could be your catalyst to better things come the Quarters/Semis stage. This Tyrone team is nothing special, they have potential to be, but at the present moment they are still beatable.

Really looking forward to this.
Kerry are always hard to beat and have home advantage. Some of their older players look tired but if this match doesn't get the adrenalin pumping then nothing will. This will be a close game i'd imagine but the greater Tyrone togetherness should swing it their way !!

I think people should forget form for this one. This will see both sides training as if its for an All Ireland final showdown.

Jack O'Connor and this current Kerry team have had the shadow of Tyrone hanging over their achievements over the past decade. Having not won a single All Ireland and beat Tyrone along the way over the past 10 years. While Tyrone have won 3 All Irelands and beaten Kerry enroute to every single one of them.
Tyrone will expect this to be a battle of immense proportions, and i think they will train for it as such.

It will be tight and both sides have to show their hand. Even in Killarney, im going to back Tyrone for this game.

i think you could be spot on its going to be a dog eat dog battle im going for kerry myself but its going to be some clash both sides especially kerry will be looking to get an all ireland spot again while tyrone will be wanting to prove they are all ireland contenders so knowing loosing its the end of the road it will drive them more looking forward to this one, another great weekend of footie....

Huge advantage = Kerry playing at home

Can only see a Kerry win

They are due one against Tyrone... Tyrone have bossed them quite a bit. Kerry people dont like that. They wont like that in their own back garden

Boy oh boy... I hope Tyrone win but no... all deeply pleasing things must come to an end.

I hope they both make a holy show out of themselves.... a big aul brawl, few red cards...

Lovely stuff.

I do think it will be a very close game. It could go either way.

I'm also backing Limerick to beat Kildare, a prediction most people will laugh at. But i Just have a feeling that Kildare will walk in on a high after hammering Cavan and get caught by a fairly good Limerick side. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part.
