Kerry v Tyrone

I know it's early but I can't believe no one has started a thread about this game. The biggest rivalry of the 00's is about to happen again and I can't wait. Well whose going to win??

Just up so i've only just seen the draw. Nearly passed out when i saw Kerry v Tyrone. What a sensational game this will be .. Imagine. Either Kerry or Tyrone will be out of the championship before all of the provincial finals are even out of the way. I reckon Kerry will win. They are due a win against Tyrone at this stage plus they have home advantage. I don't believe this Kerry team are in any way near finished as Pat Spillane was saying last night on the SG .. And i do think Tyrone are potential All Ireland winners so itll be a huge game,

After Kerry's uninspiring display against Tipp, Cork and Westmeath and Tyrone's hammering of Roscommon, well Tyrone must be favourites.

I think Kerry will win but am loath to write of Tyrone who where very impressive against the Rossies. But from a neutral point of view this is going to be brilliant. Good luck to both teams.

I hate to be a pedantic paddy RKF but in 2010 Down beat us in July.

Tyrone will be favourites and rightly so, they have shown better Championship form and their recent record against us will help them. In saying that, a home game is a huge benefit to Kerry, Killarney will be jumping next weekend.

However, Mickey Harte is tactically superior to Jack O' Connor and I fear we may see the last of some of the greatest players to have ever played.

The best thing about this match is that while both teams are currently wilting whoever comes out of this will probably be reborn and come out with serious momentum for the rest of the summer. You'd feel sorry for Clare who look a bit like roadkill in Round 4 and after that I'd say any of the provincial winners would rather avoid whoever wins.

I think this is a great chance for Kerry to get their season up and running. Both teams have a lot to prove, but can't see Tyrone winning this time.

It'll be a great game, no bodybuilders in sight! I can't wait.

What a draw, I may even cross the border to watch this one. If Kerry win & get back to Croker then they will be a different animal. Sam will be back within their sights if they beat Tyrone next weekend. Tough match to call, Tyrone will have no fear of Kerry but home advantage could be key and just edge it for the kingdom.

Kerry 8/15
Draw 15/2
Tyrone 15/8
By my reckoning that makes Kerry favourites.

perfect draw for kerry, they going into this in a great way, not a lot of people outside the county expect much from them this year.

Look at all the Kerry boys playing up Tyrone. Nice try but we're not buying it.

Has the potential to be game of the championship. Hard to call though, Tyrone's recent performances have been better than Kerry's but in saying that, always be wary of the dying wasp. If, as suggested in SOME quarters, this Kerry team is on it's last legs then there's a few big names ( Gooch, Donaghy, O'Sullivan etc etc) who would not like to bow out of inter county football without a win over Tyrone..

I think this game has dwarfed the Ulster and Leinster Finals!! ;)

Maybe we'll get a chance to see some good attacking football. Although I cant see that as there's a lot riding on this game. We might be subjected to some terrible football at the hands of Tyrone again.
