Yeh well done to Tipp, Limerick and Antrim. Could there be another surprise tomorrow in Breffni.....

No classapart no shock in store in breffni. Cavan will win, the very poor outfit of kildare could not perform to the high standards of antrim

there could end up being another shock with leitrim beating wicklow, leitrim leading 0-6 to 0-5 at half time.

Serious questions about Galway football, when was the last time they beat a team outside of Connaught in the championship? Was it 2003 against Louth? Very frustrating for the Galway fans.

Well done tipp. Thought they wouldn't hold out but what has been most impressive has been their ability to grind out results. On to round 3 now fair play. Quinlivan has come up from minor and has been very impressive.

04 against Louth.

Apparently today was Galway's 9th one point defeat in championship football over the past 7 years. Incredible statistic really.

I lived in Galway for a while, very nice people so I always like to see them do well, there is no doubt they have had better footballers than some of the teams who knocked them out in those years..

leitrim have won, jesus listening to the commentators and the supporters you'd think they had won an all ireland but good to see the underdogs winning today.

By Dad they did it! Comhghairdeas le muintir Liatroma, no more ardent keepers of the flame. Some consolation for Connacht today

Is that the very last county to win in the qualifiers? (Nua Eabhrac and Cill Chainnigh excepted of course)

Longford should've won in "normal time". Some inexplicable substitutions & tactics by our team management. Congrats to Limerick.

Tipp really have a bright future ahead. this success and a lot of young lads coming throgh I'd say they'll be aiming to win munster with 4 or 5 years.

Tipp
Limerick
Leitrim
Antrim
Kerry
Kildare
Tyrone
Laois/Monaghan

There the teams I see in round 3. Clare might have a great chance in round 4 after all.
wouldn't it be great if these teams drew eachother

Kerry
Kildare
Tyrone
Laois/Monaghan

and two of these made it into the last round
Tipp
Limerick
Leitrim
Antrim

Congratulations to Antrim today, better team won. Galway tactically inept.

Not too surprising, Wexford were always likely to find it tough to lift themselves after letting slip the Dublin game. They failed to recover last year after Leinster final and this year was a bigger opportunity missed. Tipperary are on the up and were always going to have a chance there. I had predicted that to possibly go to extra time. Not far off! Tipp could get to the last 8 yet if the draw falls right for them.

Galway: Enough said already, a slight surprise but not much more.

Longford v Limerick: In fairness to Limerick each time they look like they might be falling back into the pack they come up with a big result. Longford would have expected to win which maybe isn't a situation they are too familiar with.

Leitrim is a slight surprise too.

Its good for the championship. There could be a handy enough route for Kerry and Tyrone back to the quarter finals though.

It wasn't a great game fair enough but I thought we were just the better side and had the clearer chances and possession. When Galway went a point up at the end most of the crowd thought it was the usual story but our boys dug deep and came back with 2 to win. We are a club orientated county with a very strong club scene in both codes. St. Galls and Lougheille have won senior All Ireland titles in recent years but for some reason we can't translate this to the senior county; there seems to be too many club rivalries and biiterness carried on to the county squads especially in hurling. Hard luck to Galway, they don't have much of it in the backdoor, but this will do our county players the world of good.

I think alot of people wil have to change their view of Munster football. There is a claim for it now to be the strongest of all the divisions after the results today!
