Wexford ,Longford and Galway out of the championship. Didn't see these teams losing today, great wins though for Tipp ,limerick and Antrim.

yeah i cant believe them results, limerick are a good enough team who would put it up to most teams so it isnt as shocking they won but antrim beating galway is unbelievable and wexford losing after putting up a good performance against dublin the last day, i wonder what happened with them...

Believe me the Galway result is not surprising at all. We lose by a point in the qualifiers every year.

Like I said earlier the Tipperary county board will be broke from buying jerseys for all the teams in all the grades that we have coming through this year and camogie too still in the championship unreal!!

I don't know about limerick giving everyone a game they couldn't beat Clare a few weeks ago, so there win today for me is a big shock. So much for Leinster being the strongest province.

Great day for Munster football. Very bad day for Connacht. Galway footballers need to have their heads examined. Based on championship results over the last few years, especially outside of their province, they must be the one of the worst 5 or 10 teams in the country. Great results for Limerick and Tipperary, they might both be playing in Division 4 next year but if that's not a statement in terms of forgetting about seeding the Munster draw I don't know what is.

As bad and all as Galway have been in recent years, I still fully expected us to beat Antrim. The future looks bleaker than ever for Galway football. I expected Tipp to win today because Wexford would have been so demoralised after blowing yet another great chance to beat Dublin. I thought Longford would win at home but Limerick have proven themselves to be a very dogged side over the years and this was not a major shock.

Not at all surprised by Antrim beating Galway. Had them in a bet. Unfortunately it was in combination with Wexford and Longford.

Sorry to see Wexford go out after their performance against Dublin.

ah but on their day they do be hard enough to beat as we found out in 2008 when they beat us and in 2009 they nearly beat cork only losing by a point and then we only beat them by a point in the qualifiers that year too.

Fantastic win. Thought we were gone when Galway went 10-9 up after 70 mins, I thought we were gone after joyce scored his point to be honest. It was a poor game to watch though

No surprise at all about Gaillimh. One qualifier won in 11 seasons, and they did their damnedest to lose that. There's some serious psychological flaw after creeping in to senior football there, because otherwise why would they lose nearly every year by a point, often throwing away the lead in the last few minutes. In terms of size and underage success they should be consistently reaching semis at very least. Losing to Loch Garman and an Iarmhí on their own turf may have been even a lower ebb though. They're doughty men in Aontroim, and the home advantage certainly helped. The way Horan's developing Muigh Eo, we could very soon see decades of tradition reversed, with them becoming the hardened, mentally stronger Connacht representatives while Gaillimh become known as the fancy lads who flatter to deceive.
Every year people are surprised by one out of Luimneach and Tiobraid Árainn. Definitely not surprised by the latter but that's a very impressive away win in Whajamacallit Brothers Stadium.
