Have to say Dublin were there for the taking on Sunday. If Meath had their shooting boots on (the ones they had on against us) they probably would of won this game by a few points.

Anyway, now Meath face a difficult task of beating Laois 6 days after losing a Leinster final. I'm not sure if they can do this....

what if dublin had of brought there scoring boots ?????

Brilliant stuff^^^ Conleth your hilarious because over half of what you say is complete bull , Did you tune in on Sunday? O gara came on for Alan Brogan and had the best game iv seen from him in championship in 2 years! Dublin would have walked in at half time 7-5 or something similar to that if it werent for O Gara , and he also kicked 2 points in the 2nd half and provided a go to option for Dublin counter attacking because he is such an effective ball winner. In terms of Sundays game he turned out almost more effective than Alan Brogan , Meath couldnt handle him.

Talk about bull. You rubbish my point about Alan Brogan (player of the year) and then say O'Gara was almost more effective than him !!! Great point ! ?

1229444 Meath people need to cop on they were a country mile behind us and we never got out of 3rd gear. You should be very worried about this Saturday's game cause yous are an average team.

Dublin always looked the better team alright but you must remember that we lost our most important defender in Kevin Reilly before we conceded those two goals. It was disappointing to have conceded two goals in quick sucession because it killed the game as a contest and the game might have been a different story had both teams gone in with a coule of points between them at half time. Dublin always looked supremely solid at the back but I think there wouldn't have been as much between the teams had we held out before half time.

Ok Conleth il rephrase that without O Gara Dublin would not have got 2 goals before half time so overall he was more effective and was going to be more effective than if Alan Brogan stayed on simply because of his role in those 2 goals before half time and his ball winning and scores in the second half.

Sorry I mentioned, when responding to a post proclaiming how well ROC played, that I pointed out his mistake. Did not decry the Queeney finish just said ROC was poor, backing back onto Cluxton, when he should have moved to challenge. It called analysis.

Now if you want opinion on the goal: ueeney took up great position to take the pass and shot first time accurately to the corner as his marker backed off. Well done Queeney, took it well, poor ROC, failed to close down & blocked off the keeper. Meath happy with well worked and well taken goal,

how am i devaluing the goal
speaking from a dublin point of view o carroll was poor and blocked cluxton from attempting to make a save
im not saying he would have stopped it but o carroll was poor all the same and got in his way simple as

Nope they are specifically saving their scoring boots for the bigger teams come september! they chose not to bring them to croker last sunday.... purposely

I left croker with my head held high because people expected nothing from us

____________

Nothings changed , No-one expects anything from you's

Yes thats a good thing. Who wants to be living off previous form which they have not replicated and be judged on that for what they can or cant achieve.
rankings and possibilities of winning something... no thanks.

So you copped that the Dubs are holding off for Aug & Sept

Gilroy made no secret of that after the game. His words were something like "So the real championship starts now".

What Paul Flynn said was a little silly, sure Meath could say we shouldn't have conceded the goals when we did etc.At the end of the day they were the winning of the match.I really think if it was 7-5 at HT,Meath would have grew in confidence, because a lot of the less experienced players were very nervous..
