SO HE WILL BE MARKED BY KEVIN REILLY? yep that is some debut against one of the best full backs in the game

Surely Gilroy wouldn't start him in a game of this magnitude.

Royaldunne the whole of Ireland knows that Kevin Reilly will pick up Bernard Brogan and no one else no matter whose playing in what position. The man in all fairness didn't give Bernard a kick in 10 so why would you put anyone else but Reilly on our best forward?

Haha loving it Dave. Really hope Kilkenny or EOG start cause I just feel we lose to much pace in our team with 3 midfielders.

Kevin Reilly has to mark Brogan alright, would be some contest if both were at their best.

I'd say it will be
Kevin Reilly on B Brogan
Donal Keogan on McMenamin
Menton on Kilkenny/O'Gara

I would have faith in our backs to do a fairly good job. I think this game will be won/lost around the middle. I would worry about the pressure on Gillespie. Does any of the Meath fans know what the story is with Tom Walsh is he still injured?

Think the royals are going to be found out for what they really are tomorrow. Average.

tom walsh was on the bench for the last 2 games and warmed up with the team so he must be fit.i would have thought he would be more mobile then brian meade in midfield

Well if we are average, what are the mighty flourbags?
Its no shame for this young Meath team to be beaten by the All Ireland Champions! They will put up a good fight and if we don't win, we won't complain. In Sean Boylans time we lost Leinsters before we won them and thats what makes you a better team.
Likewise if we beat Dublin , their fans in fairness won't be making excuses they will just get on with it, unlike a few other counties that spring to mind.........

One thing's for sure, even without DC the Dubs have enough firepower options to keep that Meath FB line thinking. They're going to have to clone Reilly. Will it be Ciaran, will it be Kevin, will it be Bernard or will we start Eohan. Jayzus any of those guys will create mayhem for that FB line. If the Dubs forwards get mobile like they can then the Meath backs better be prepared to put 15-20KM on the clock tomorrow in pursuit.

Joxer we have 2 clones of reilly, they called keoghan and menton.
Yeah I agree clonfalkin I think reilly goes where brogan goes, but you never know with banty he could but menton on brogan since that he did so well on o'connor , now ok that's like comparing chalk and cheese, but I wouldn't be surprised either.
Some great individual match ups though when you think about it, brogan v reilly and joe v roc. Them 2 stand out but in nearly every position it will be fascinating.
Who will pick up g reilly?
Jasus dave the ault tk and no matter what it would be warm by the time ya drank it. Lol

Great stuff. Got free tickets for match tomorrow. Only trouble is which side of the fence to sit as I think one should always shout for one team or the other as a "neutral". mmmm Champions or villains?

Yeah it's all over the papers that Kilkenny is starting , fennell dropped and mdmc goes out to midfield. Come on the kid do what you do best destroying defences.
