Got in training last night.

Probably a blessing in disguise. If they rule him out now, no media circus, just football.

A shoulder injury definitely rules him out compared to a hamstring injury where there might be a possibility up to the last minute of him playing. This way the media circus is nipped in the bud. 5/8000 attendance.. No major fuss.. Cavan put it up to Kildare for the first 10 minutes as they have done to every team all year in every game. Then Kildare take over as Cavan persistently foul and give away stupid frees in scoreable positions.. Crowd leaving with 15-20 mins to go . Typical qualifier where gulf in class is exposed... Kildare 1-17 Cavan 0-10.

I think Kildare will win this as the pressure is off them now. They are no longer expected to just win by turning up. They will have to play football on the field and not through the papers etc. Kildare by 4

I don't wish any injury on the guy but it's for the best if he's ruled out one way or another

Kildare & Seanie have nothing to gain from him playing this one. His presence at any stage in the match would give Cavan a lift and give their supporters something to shout about

Reports of unrest in the Kildare camp, threats of walkout etc. This is exactly what they deserve, nothing personal dont care that Seanie has moved on but when you make such a scene o get in a player from a different county the forwards there already training for years are obviously gonna feel like they are useless

Not injured at all....McGeeney realises this will be a media frenzy all the way up to the game so they've released this "injury" story to try play down the media hype about the game.

On a seperate note....Johnston shouldnt play....And Kildare should have enough to beat Cavan.

But....Kildare have no forwards...and play boring football....Too much Handpassing not enough penetration. They need forwards....unfortunately they wont bed them in this year. Ive been saying the last couple of years that Kildare have been hyped up lots....but on what basis???

Kildare fans are funny. They give out about armagh saying they want mcgeeney! saying they should respect that he is in kildare. while promoting a cavan player on the bench. Double standards or what?
Cavan have to do one thing run at them, kildare have no plan b and are very slow. Hit them with fast ball and they have no answers.
And they will crumble with all the in fighting and unrest that is allegedly going on in the camp. So run forest run!!!

Jayp "Not injuried at all" Have you a source within the kildare camp that told you so have you?

Seanie apparently now and only going by what i heard is that he was having trouble with a shoulder for a while then took the knock to it in training during the week but sure no matter whats said kildare will be told their faking it. Have had a shoulder injury myself. Shoulder not the same afterwards. Not nice at all. I see on the main forum Morgan O' Callaghan said they will see how he is going with it next week. Hopefully it's only short term and doesnt rule him out long term. I want to see him play football after all the hullabaloo.

Royaldunne what will you write about when Kildare are out of the Championship? Everything about Kildare seems to get on your wick. Thank God I don't feel the same about Meath or any other county for that matter. You must lie awake at night tossing and turning thinking about Kildare and what they're up to.
