The groundhog day thread, it a veritable purgatory, set to repeat itself over and over again!
Its so boring lillywhite! Judging by the 39 pages (and counting) it is going to be the game of
the century! I can't wait!!! ;)

@doublehop Ross O Carroll Kelly was sad in jest. Did O Connor not play ff against Dublin last year?

Pretty sure Roley played full-forward last year against Dublin.

O'Connor, Fionn Dowling and Rob Kelly were all given thrown into the full-forward line for the qualifiers after that defeat.

Ronan Sweeney was ff, O Conor came on in the second half. There goes any slim hopes Meath had of winning with Kevin Reilly out injured.

O'Connor came on the second half against Dublin and ended playing full forward beside Hugh Lynch. O'Carroll was marking Lynch for most of that time though I think.

The one thing people seem to ignore is the speed of the guy. Could easily be one of the fastest on the panel. It's one thing having a big and strong fullback able to challenge for high balls, it's another to have one just as fast as they are strong and able to out pace a man when a ball is played into space in the corners.

O'Connor wasn't as effective against Donegal as he had been in the qualifier games last year, this year though he looks much more impressive and confident.

I'd say everyone has given up hope with Reilly gone.

I'm just after hearing both Reilly and Bray will be fit enough to start.

Yeh I was thinking that myself. I know he sat out of training the other day, but maybe its a case that he will be ok for Sunday and Banty is up to the mind games by not naming him on the team. Nobody has actually come out and said he is 100% out for Sunday, but I'm not very hopeful.

No can't see him starting. And without one of the reillys can't see anything other than a defeat I'm afraid. But as I said with the young players coming through we won't be as long in doldrums as some would hope. But that's for another day.
Sunday is now all about blooding these fantastic new players on the big occasion. Looking forward to seeing how the perform. But the focus for meath has now changed.

Yeah ziggy I think keoghan, forde, collins, menton and carroll are fantastic young players with plenty of potential and also think gilly is coming on nicely.

royaldunne, household names are the Gooch, Sean Cavanagh, Bernard Brogan and the likes, are you saying that these players will be held in the same esteem?

i heard bray might be fit but reilly is nearly 100% not going to start. Only good thing is Menton will play in the center where he should be all along.
