The Leinster Final wouldn't be a very attractive spectacle with the kick and rush tactis employed by Meath. Aimless balls into the big burly full forward just doesn't cut the mustard anymore.

I never thought I'd see the day when kildare were the outcasts of the gaa. Yes laughed at, and seen as not really with the footballing world, but for a team/county that would be ranked along side leitrim or clare in their success over last 80 years. Its sad to see. Most would imagine a weaker county been competitive (without winning anything) would be lauded. But not the flourbags. There antics off the field has brought the gaa into disrepute. Shameful.

TheGateKeeper, Do these core values and traditional values of the GAA that you're so willing to stand up for include condoning your own county man Brian Dooher getting his head stamped upon in Croke Park? Obviously you wouldn't condone that.. So how does dirty, dangerous fouls not take precedence in terms of undermining the values and image of the GAA compared to a transfer saga.

I never thought I'd see the day when royaldunne was the outcast of hoganstand.com Yes laughed at, and seen as not really with the real world, but for a poster that would be ranked alongside many others in their successful posts over the last few years. Its sad to see. Most would imagine a weaker poster been competitive occasionally (without winning any argument ever) would be lauded. But not royaldunne. His antics have brought the website into disrepute. Shameful.

Leinster means nothing to the Dubs. Only 50k turned up for last years final less than the turnout for tie Kildare tie. Trust me if Dublin don't win it this year it won't really bother them.

1202568 What type of crowd is expected for sunday? No doubt the Kildare fans will out number the Meath fans as usual..
I'd be shocked if you didn't out number us this time. But come on lets get real buddy, you didn't outnumber us last year in the qualifiers. 20k at Meath v Louth (Louth get credit for that too) then 18k at Meath v Galway sold out and nearly every single fan was from Meath. Then Meath v Kildare we outnumbered you again but it would have been by a whole lot more if the game was sold out.
2010 quarter final if you were on the hill you would have known you were vastly outnumbered by Meath who actually created a bit of an atmosphere at that and last years quarter it was fairly 50/50.
But now is your time to sine you are set to win Leinster this year how could you not greatly outnumber a division 3 tea already in bonus territory.

1202653 To be honest nick I believe kildare and meath should be on second because it will be way more exciting than wexford and dublin the only reason your on second is to accomadate the dubs that have to travel ten minutes to croker.
haha brilliant post! Snuffy and co would be happy if there long treks to croker involved getting up 2 hours earlier! But we'll have taken all the good seats in the pubs when they get back I hope they don't get sore feet :)

1202701 Whats chance have Meath got on Sunday when their own fans think that 1 or 2 of the players are overweight and unfit. I have to admit that even if I thought that one of the Kildare players has spent too long at the dinner table I wouldn't be saying it out loud. Talk about washing your dirty linen in public.

I see what you did there but let's be realistic RoyalDunne is a hero in Meath and we all stand by what he says. Him and Dubbydave will have quite the bant in the pub after the game.

Well at least I have been honest in my opinions regarding the SJ transfer. You don't seem to be capable of doing the same thing about your own club while throwing as much mud as you can get your hands on about Kildare. Towers aren't doing anything most clubs in Dublin haven't done, I actually like the club and the area as you know. But you must admit there is a glaring blindspot in your supposed moral outrage regarding Kildare's actions and if Kilcullen end up getting relegated or stay up it really won't change that, will it?

royaldunne: "Maybe just maybe all those people myself included just don't rate the flourbags? Now there's a thought".
Of course your quite entitled to your opinion but it's ironic when a Kildare poster feels confident that Kildare will beat Meath you come here apoplectically spluttering over your keyboard at the adacity and the arrogance that any Kildare fan should hold such an opinion. In your belief Meath confidence is belief in your abilities to win whilst Kildare confidence is regarded as arrogance.
Well first of all I have stated that meath will win by 2/3 and said it could easily be other way round. Look back on those posts by kildare people saying it will be 6+ and how its only div 3 team while totally ignoring both teams played in same div this year. And we are living off past glories and how bad football was when we were dominant. Now I honestly don't think kildare are as good as you or others may think. They haven't beaten a top team, they reality is that the highest rated team kildare have beaten is meath. And yous are telling us we are crap. See what I'm getting at? I would rate dublin, cork, kerry, mayo, donegal, tyrone, all ahead of kildare. So I don't know where this confidence is coming from? Now in my view the decimation of this meath panel by injuries has had a silver lining, likes of keoghon, tobin, carroll, forde, gillespie, collins etc would not have been involved. Add to that the revelation at midfield of biggy and the return of byrne, farrell back to his best. It has a complete different look to team of last year. So yes I'm hopeful and I'd say confident of a win. Not arrogant but confident. It will be a serious achievement to win this match missing 11 players but one I think we will achieve
