1194326 Culann in fairness you were all about viewing figures when we were having our Dublin/soccer debate.

...and in fairness, clondalkin dub, I said the figures were impressive, but it has to be said, as hill 16 pointed out, there has been non stop promotion of the games in all papers, raidio stations etc.. and a lot more than what the All Ireland would be given and, if what Hill 16 said was true and I don't doubt him, that was at peak. It will be interesting to see if that 2.03 million (or whatever it was) can be upheld tonight and next week.

1194293 in your biased opinion culann maybe..seeing as you have openly stated you dislike soccer so i hope you dont mind nobody regarding what you say as accurate?

This is the second time I have posted this comment from you ffgg. My point was that Euro 2012 hadn't caught the imagination as previous soccer festivals had adn you replied to me with the above. Then, further down you agree with my anitial point. Strange that!

A world class performance by the Irish fans tonight, if only it could be said about the overpaid professionals on the pitch!
Now, lets concentrate on gaelic games.

Maybe we should make a banner and attach one end of it to the Spire of the Dublin and the other end of it to the Sydney Harbour bridge that can be read from orbit and says 'EVERYONE WATCH THE GAA!'

Would that stop ye whingeing?

To think what wages they get every week and to play like school boys, suppose they can feel sorry for themselves in their mansions.(when they return home to england).

Roll on tonight's kick off's, trying to watch Derry v Donegal, would be more entertaining watching paint dry. A skill less boring spectacle.

If you honsetly believe there is more entertainment in soccer than in gaelic football you are off your trolly. Soccer is the only 'sport' in which you can sit down to watch, get up after five minutes, walk the dog, go to the shop, have a dump, eat your lunch and then go back to the game half way through the second half and you might only have missed a few free kicks, a couple of throw ins and a corner - and no goals. Good luck with the game tonight!

2-13 from Donegal tonight, plenty of skill and a huge improvement in tactics (development of tactics maybe) and a few footpasses! Unfortunaetly Derry were not up to the task but well worth watching if you ask me.

How did your soccer match go? Were there many throw ins?

Apologies in advance but I can't let go!

Just a quick thought. Are Dublin hurling fans true supporters? Are Louth football fans true supporters? Are Irish rugby fans true supporters? I ask this in the context of the recent hammerings these three counties/international teams got from the best teams around in their sports and yet they were not singing and cheering for ten mnutes after these hammerings. There was no Molly Malone or Fields of Athenry to be heard.

Any thoughts!!
