I'm conscious that not all contributors to a GAA forum are into the foreign game aswell like myself but I thought I'd pose the question anyway. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9819 - 06/06/2012 15:35:14 1188309 Link 0 |
As much as i love my country and as much as it would be great to win the Euro's, i would prefer to see Galway winning Sam or Liam in a heartbeat. tribeinbrum (Galway) - Posts: 4155 - 06/06/2012 15:39:16 1188313 Link 0 |

Def Louth to win Sam or a Leinster at least. OLLIE (Louth) - Posts: 12224 - 06/06/2012 15:42:39 1188319 Link 0 |
I would rather Armagh win the All Ireland in Football or Hurling. I'm not a big fan of soccer but I always support Ireland and they have already done the country proud, I was in west Belfast today and the place is covered in green, white and gold for the football so it's great to see so much national pride out there. I have to say I'd be the same in that I'd prefer a Donegal AI football win. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9819 - 06/06/2012 15:47:32 1188326 Link 0 |

I'd take far greater pleasure in seeing Wexford lift Sam/Liam than see Ireland lift the Euro trophy. Fat chance of any of them happening anyway. gigoer (Wexford) - Posts: 1998 - 06/06/2012 15:55:56 1188334 Link 0 |
I am a big Ireland supporter, have travelled to numerous away games and made it to Japan/Korea in 2002. The current team are not the most talented, but they are an honest and hard-working bunch who wear their hearts on their sleeves to represent the country. I would have as much respect for the likes of Dunne and Given as I would for any GAA player. eviemonkey (Cork) - Posts: 308 - 06/06/2012 16:00:37 1188337 Link 0 |
Il take an all ireland over the euro any day but i suppose it may depend where you are from...but it this way would there be more excitment and celebration in your home town or village if your county won sam/liam or Ireland won the euro's?? yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11651 - 06/06/2012 16:01:39 1188340 Link 0 |
I s'pose the only agurement is if your county wins AI, your county celebrates gigoer (Wexford) - Posts: 1998 - 06/06/2012 16:49:47 1188394 Link 0 |
I have to say I have no interest in it at all and unless I am with people who are watching the matches will not bother. When is it over? hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 06/06/2012 16:59:20 1188403 Link 0 |
I go to all the Ireland home internationals and have been to a few away games in the past. I'm also a season ticket holder for the Pride of the Northside and I'm going to the Croatia game on Sunday. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13819 - 06/06/2012 17:10:49 1188420 Link 0 |

You have to put your country before your county, any day of the week. Its a no brainer. AfricanGael (UK) - Posts: 1947 - 06/06/2012 17:23:37 1188430 Link 0 |
