1182674 the dubs are the biggest bandwagon jumpers in the game. Once the soccer in England and Scotland is over they pull out the Dublin jerseys and put away their Celtic tops. Most dubs wouldn't know what the NFL or O'Byrne cup was never mind go to them.

Couldnt agree more, usually for premier league matches i wear my man city jersey to the pub(just started following them this year) when thats over i head out and put on my dub top to watch the league games, thankfully the matches are in croker so dont have far to travel . usually get most of the second half.

The GAA itself is mainly to blame. It should market its games more aggressively. Most local and national newspapers preview games and that is where the GAA should stick eye-catching advertisements for intercounty games. Build the match up. Pick out a few reasons that make this particular match attractive. Give a short history of meetings between the sides, their present aims, that sort of thing.

League games can be very attractive. Personally speaking, I've enjoyed the Dublin football supporters in Pairc Ui Roinn. They usually seem to be in great form and humor. Other opposition supporters seem to take the games more to heart, Monaghan (football), and Kilkenny (hurling) in Pairc Ui Chaoimh, but they all contribute greatly to the atmosphere. Sometimes , as in the Monaghan case, the Cork supporters seem to be outnumbered, but with better promotion that could be changed.
