Whos crying sponger? It was even said that theres nothing wrong with DCP.

The posts people have made are general comments about the overall choosing of locations by Leinster council.
Any examples given were just to highlight that there are locations that better accomodate both sets of fans.

I certainly didnt see anybody crying over it or saying that they wont travel becasue of it.

Not complaining sponger as a home match for me in navan is a 80+ mile round trek anyway (no longer live in meath)

Waynol if it is a open game then I'd be a lot more confident as although wicklow have very good forwards our forwards could do serious damage.
Most likely starting is 10,kenny.11 s bray 12, graham reilly 13 c ward 14 j sherridan 15 p gilsennan.
Both 12 and 15 have electric pace , joe would be a excellent ball winner and cian can bang in scores at will if he gets the ball. And stephen is worthy of a place on any team. So my hope is that wicklow come at us early on play direct foot ball not this handpassing game and meath do the same IF that happens I think meath could win by 7 or 8. However I am sure harry will know this and will play a tight cagey match then really its anyones game. If our forwards get enough ball they will take most teams. The problem is they don't.

Did Micko not give out about Wicklow having to travel to Tullamore in 2010 to play Westmeath in the Leinster Quarter-Finals?

Don't worry we will travel but this should either be home or away or in a proper neutral venue. If it was played in Wicklow you would get the same Meath crowd plus a bigger Wicklow crowd, played in navan you would get a huge Meath crowd and play it in a proper neutral venue like Parnell or Tullamore and you will get a bigger crowd than bloody carlow. It will take me at least 2 and a half hours to make it down. I can get to galway in that time.

Haha..but of course you tell us it was obvious you were joking about Meath having 6 of the 10 best forwards in Ireland, weren't you?

It was great to wind up the kildare lads cause if they not 2nd best in leinster or top 4 or 6. It drives them mad. Still my finest post and the fact kildare lads fell for it and keep referring to it makes it even better.

Now on the above post of mine can you disagree with any of it? Very hard to!!!

If they get ball they will do damage.

First of all joe was not there conleth. So he wouldn't count. Secondly did our forwards get much ball at all v tyrone? answer no. See what I'm getting at lad. I did say if they get ball they will destroy most teams. Problem is there not getting the ball. I mean I know your from kildare but even you should be able to figure that one out.

I've already said I think Meath's forwards will be too good for a poor Wicklow defence. But how you don't see the obvious comparison between what you tell us was your deliberately overblown statement before and you singing their praises from the rooftops now is a bit strange. or is the above statement another one of your brilliant jokes?

Yeah, got it now. If you had a fair share of the ball you'd do serious damage. When the forwards DID have the ball how many did they score from play ? Also haven't you yourself said that everyone outside Meath places too much emphasis on Joe ? So now he is important ? Not like you to twist and change like that now is it ?

Firstly doublehop that is a honest appraisal of our forwards ability. Not that any would be top 10 (well maybe bray). Thought that would be obvious. Now whether they play to there abilities is a entirely different prospect. They have not lately mostly cause bray and reilly end up trying to carry ball from defense. Wicklows game against longford would suggest if the used same tactics meath could play a more traditional game and if that happens those forwards will take most defenses apart. I doubt wicklow will play like that but one can hope

Conleth mearly pointing out that one of the 5 you referred to was not playing. If he had would it have made a difference. No. As the ball going in was non existent. Meaths problems not forwards its midfield and half backs.

Last 2 games of significance against Tyrone we fairly blew them away. But I take it you were referring to one of the league games that we purposely lost so nobody would think were much good. Now we will scrape past Wicklow, hop over Carlow and then it's bye bye Kildare. You know Banty has the full backing of the players when he can convince them to willingly miss an easy winning point in the Kildare and Galway game. Would have been danger being on 8 points and you lot on none. We would hardly want you lot coming into Leinster under the radar. You heard it here first Meath Leinster finalists and if they are bothered Leinster winners although we might give that to Dublin so we can sneak the All-Ireland.
