but cahill said he would now be available to play for kildare so im sure anybody watching came to the same cocnclusion that it had to have been a championship match to be able to play for kildare isnt that the rule?
its rte fault for running the wrong story they obviously caught mcstay and whelan on the spot and who pointed out to whelan that the stroy was wrong des cahill is the lead man he didnt say it was wrong he read it out

Shocking stuff from RTE. Do your research! Cahill said that we are of the understanding that seanie played for his club today so we believe that he is eligible. Mcstay says " but I thought there was no fixtures in place. Whelan interupts and says " oh well their obviously after manipulating the fixtures"!.
Quick enough to come in and make his accusation and throw his dig but when informed they got it wrong that it was only a league fixture he wasnt quick enough to interupt and give his apology to kildare GAA. Made himself look like a e**** Anyone that knows anything about this transfer knows he has to play the club championship game.
So Ciaran whelan and co look at the facts and do some research before you jump the gun and make false accusations!

Is the 'Championship Matters' GAA programme ever scheduled on RTE before midnight? It obviously doesn't 'matter' that much, when it's shown at such ridiculous hours. Has anyone set the alarm clock, to get up and watch this show?

Its fair enough that they show the live euro soccer match, but why they
have to show the highlights an hour or so after is taking the friggin mickey!
Although in all fairness championship matters, with marty all painted up is
pretty awful! The gaa show on tv3 is probably better, but O'Cinneide's gaa
show on tg4 was best of all. The analysis on rte has gone to hell all together,
but they are covering more games which is great, and with rteplayer, we can
analyse the games again ourselves. Rte, good coverage, rubbish analysis!

Its been moved to that hour since Euro 2012 started. I just either record it or else watch it on the RTE player.
