Our lads improved alot yesterday, no shame in losing to that Tipp team, they will take some beating again this year.

Minors are a bit of a joke really Kerry have already lost twice this year in the championship and they are still in the championship. Tyrone beat a very good Armagh team and they are out of the championship all teams should be competing under the same rules but that is certainly not the case at the minute.

I think it's a good system in Munster and should be implemented by the other provinces. Young lads deserve more games for their effort.

so how many times should a team have to be defeated before they are actually out of the championship it should not be allowed to be implemented unless it is the same in all provinces.

It's not a perfect system in Munster but it's the way to go. Granted, Kerry are still alive after 2 losses but we didn't get a second chance last year after losing the semi to Tipp.

A round-robin format is the fairest all round. At least the Munster Council are thinking outside the box anyway and the system has benefitted the "weaker" counties too.

it is good that teams are getting a 2nd chance but it has a long way to go to be equitable. Mayo for instance win 1 game are in the all ireland 1/4 final, not their fault i know but still. Kerry could well end up meeting Tipp again and could well come out on top. I agree its time to try a group system, the inter Provencals could still be ran off rather than the leagues.

No point for the young lads training since august to place 1 game and be out. Great system and should be adopted by all other provinces

meath are only favs because they only have 1 game to win it where as kildare and dublin have 2 games and both are tough games for whoever comes through tonight. meath underdogs royal and just how we like it! could this be the biggest ever crowd to watch a meath minor match?

Haha RoyalDunne, maybe Meath are favorites because they are the only team in the final so far and Kildare and Dublin are still in the semi final? My god, you are so desperate aren't you?

Anyway, go back to the start of the Leinster Minor Championship, Dublin were favorites then Kildare were 2nd favorites then followed by Meath in 3rd.

meath are second favs now no matter what happens. last year it was a meath dublin final and we made a good acount of ourselves this year i think we have a much better team and it will be closer.

Have to feel for my own county this weekend in the minor, up against a rampant rossie in the hyde too. Roscommon minors won all there games in the minor league(i think) beating Mayo convincingly 2-5 to 0-6. Roscommon are one mean machine at underage and this minor team is as good as they have had sinco 06 i reckon.

I can't back against my own, i find it impossible but if you want to increase whats in your wallet by 50%, lump on the Ross to beat Mayo at 1/2.

For once Suncroft you are right. But ill take the underdog tag seeing as it worked so well for us against Kildare in the senior championship ;)

Thats some thrashing Kildare are gettin off the Dubs tonight, 2-15 to 1-8 , can't be long left now either.

Kildare will get no luck this year, their name is dirt , everyone wants to hammer them.

I suppose you're proud of yourself yea? These fella's are minors and the last thing they need is some keyboard warrior blowing off. Grow up will ya.

By all accounts there is no shame by being beaten by a very good Dublin minor team.

Just finished now 2-16 to 1-8. Double scores, very disappointing considering it was level at half-time. Great performance from Dublin to score 2-8 in second half. Best of luck to them in the rest of the competition. They'll be hard stopped.

Kildare's underage players deserve better than the comment above though. Pathetic.

Dublin seem around the same level as last year while Kildare haven't improved much from last year when Dublin beat them by 17 points. The bookies will probably have Dublin favourites now & they should reach another All Ireland final but i'd still fancy the winner to come from either Tyrone or Tipp.
