Don't know if they were missing anyone but Meath were well beaten by us in challenge a few weeks ago. Westmeath had excellent u-16 team last year some of them must be coming through to minor now? Dublin are still the team to beat in Leinster.

Should be a cracker in Tuam tomorrow night as ever i'll be happy enough with any type of win for us.

from Tuam tonight Ros beat Galway 1-12 to 1-10 after extra time in a roller coaster thriller of a game . Crowd of 3500 I would say , 75% for the away team. Another great result for Ros under age football

It wasn't a pretty game scores were hard to come by but we managed to grind out a deserved win last night. Well done to our minors looking forward to the final now.

Can Tipp maintain the upperhand over Kerry at the weekend? The bookies say so, they have a Tipp win at 2/5, think 4/6 is available with some.

What about the games in Leinster, Meath/Westmeath I see is on tomorrow in Mullingar. I dont think Meath have had one home game this year all away. Dublin and Kildare may be the stronger semi-final..

Tipp will be too strong for Kerry but 5/2 is a tasty price for our lads.

the minor system needs an overhaul Ulster teams get the short straw with no back door. I Think a group system should be tried which would give counties at least 3 competitive games, any other views on this?

There is 3 1/4s(basically 1st round) matches. the winners of the 3 games go into the semis and the 3 losers of the 1st round of games playoff to decide the 4th semi finalist
You lose once you get another shot. you lose twice and you are out.
In the 1/4s Cork beat Limerick, Tipp beat Kerry and Clare beat Waterford.
In the 2 playoff matches Kerry beat Waterford and Limerick respectively.
In the semis Tipp beat Cork and Kerry beat Clare

Tyrone beat two very useful sides in Armagh and Derry both would benefit from a second chance .

Tyrone are one of the top four sides so one of the above sides will have to drop out.

Dublin and Kildare are playing in the Leinster Semi Final next Wednesday and the losers will be out of the Championship. I agree that Tyrone are very much in the Top 4 and maybe even better.

What I mean is, that both Kildare and Dublin are in the top 4 or 5, but one of them will be knocked out next Wednesday

Very hard to rate minor teams,as they can change a lot in a year, but I fancy Dublin to beat Kildare, and face Meath, which be great as they would open up for the senior game.

Meath won by 13 points. Kildare or Dublin know what they will be up against in the final now.
