Not a lot of publicity about the Ring, Rackard & Meagher Cup finals this weekend. Contrast the way Sky Sports can sell the playoffs to be the 4th team promoted to the Premiership. TG4 should be given the rights to show these games live as RTE or TV3 certainly won't give them any air time. keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 06/06/2012 16:17:44 1188360 Link 0 |
Even the piece on this site about Fermanagh naming their team has them playing against Donegal. It's actually Tyrone they're facing! keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 06/06/2012 16:23:33 1188368 Link 0 |
Best of luck to the London hurlers tomorrow in Croke Park, bring it home boys!!! mattybhoy (UK) - Posts: 170 - 08/06/2012 15:06:28 1189836 Link 0 |
I had tipped Derry to beat London and Down to beat London, so I will be wary of their threat tomorrow, even though we are favourites. sponger (Wicklow) - Posts: 2929 - 08/06/2012 15:24:14 1189851 Link 0 |
London have been in a final here now for the past 3 years running and they've shown their resilience so far in this championship. However, Wicklow lost at this stage last year and won't want it to happen again. Should be a good, competitive game. mattybhoy (UK) - Posts: 170 - 08/06/2012 15:35:39 1189864 Link 0 |

No wonder hurling is struggling in these counties when prices are like that. They need to do more to encourage people to go and watch these hurling games mattybhoy (UK) - Posts: 170 - 08/06/2012 16:41:14 1189933 Link 0 |

Goal for Wicklow! Correction London 2-6 Wicklow 1-4 23 minutes Wicklowman (Wicklow) - Posts: 1142 - 09/06/2012 16:54:23 1190340 Link 0 |
Half-time London 2-11 Wicklow 1-8. Wicklow will have to dig very deep to win this one. The exiles have only 3 of last years Rackard winning team. All good hurlers replacing them. Wicklowman (Wicklow) - Posts: 1142 - 09/06/2012 17:23:04 1190353 Link 0 |

Well done London. By far the better team. No complaints. London 4-18 Wicklow 1-17. Scoreline a bit harsh in the end. Wicklowman (Wicklow) - Posts: 1142 - 09/06/2012 18:02:40 1190378 Link 0 |

Well done London. A few Wicklow fans on hear were getting a bit ahead of themselves after they beat Kerry. Its a real shame that there will be little or no coverage of this in the meida moomoo (Kerry) - Posts: 4023 - 09/06/2012 18:15:05 1190390 Link 0 |
its a scandel it was not on tv then again maybe the gaa afraid it might help hurling in the weaker counties Stmunnsriver (Wexford) - Posts: 2973 - 09/06/2012 18:39:21 1190411 Link 0 |
Moomoo - I don't think I was 'getting ahead of myself' to be fair. I have a right to be hopeful for my county. I never once said we'd win it. Wicklowman (Wicklow) - Posts: 1142 - 09/06/2012 19:11:21 1190445 Link 0 |
maybe its becuase there is too many one sided matches in hurling these days, its a rarity you get a tight match and when we do its classed as a great game because of that alone regardless of the quality of hurling on show hill16no1man (Dublin) - Posts: 12665 - 09/06/2012 19:24:19 1190451 Link 0 |
