Kildare v Tyrone - Division Two League Final...

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Kildare are further along the road than Tyrone who are going through a major restruturing now. It's really now or bust for Kildare though they need a really good standout score taker. They just aren't at the level of Cork,Kerry or Dublin.

1163180 I usually don't respond to moomoo cos he is incapable of having a debate without having a dig but this but this time I'll bite.

I never said the league didn't matter. I said Dublin are in the top few teams as we area current All Ireland Champions!!
My point was directed at Cacksimily as he stated that we beat under strength teams like Armagh (the same team that whooped Kerry I might add) & Donegal only cos Murphy went off but failed to mention half our team that won the AI didn't feature in the league. It suits people if we conveniently forget this fact.
________

Well said... but surely they have to understand that too? or is it just that they dont know anything about football?

Jimbo..

Have you not read Moomoo's anthology on Tyrone...at least an equal to his Dublin musings

Yeah I've noticed that alright, but again he just constantly feels it necessary to exaggerate a point in order to make it somehow more valid.

It does the exact opposite in fact. So I generally only ever get a couple of sentences into a large number of his posts the others I just ignore.

They are boring.

And I suppose Dublin had their full strength team out each time? Very selective post! I imagine the sheer fact that we are All Irelamd champions would make us one of the top few teams to win again. Not league performance!

That comment to me is saying the league doent matter but i suppose it suits people if to conveniently forget that.....

moomoo says...

Why is it any time Dublin lose they dont have there full strength team?

Are you incapable of making a point without exaggerating?

I got as far as the first the question mark after team and then said what's the point reading anymore.

PS

Man get a new hobby would you..? Blah blah Dublin this or Dublin that…

If it wasn't for Dublin GAA you'd have a hell of a lot less to talk about around here going on previous posts…

You seem to talk more about Dublin than I do… what's the fascination?

It must be hard being from the number 1 Footballing County and all you ever see are people talking about Dublin, writing about Dublin, big colour pictures, interviews in the paper…

Thats just it all talk and what to show for it 1 All Ireland well done on that......

Eh no cos if that's what I meant I would have said the league doesn't matter. But you take what you want from it, you usually do! Dublin are All Ireland champions and therefore are in the top few teams in Ireland. You don't have to like it but you do hand to accept it!

The only news on Aidan McRory was that the neck brace and stretcher were precautionary. He's a telented lad so hope he can back soon.
With these things it tends to be by Tues/Wed after the scan has been had before we get anything definite.

I was disappointed to see tyrone bottle it yesterday. Folding like a house of cards against a team they had already beaten comfortably only a few weeks ago cant be a good sign for the year to come.

If you asked someone who knows nothing about Gaelic Footballl if they thought that was a Division 1, 2, 3 or 4 final with 1 being the best and 4 being the worst, they would have said 4. I'm glad I didn't arrive in Croker until the second half of the match because if I was forced to sit through the first half, I probably would have left.

Just like the Mayo team did at half time in the Div. 1 final? Sorry I couldn't resist :-)

I can't understand all the criticism of yesterday's Div. 2 Final. There were 27 scores, very few wides and some great defending in atrocious conditions. I have watched Premier Division matches where there were no more than 5 attempts on goal with only 2 of them on target and they were considered great matches but if a GAA match doesn't involve players wellying the ball from one end of the field to the other it's considered puke football.
