Based on what exactly? Dublin's big defeat of Armagh's reserves or pulling away from Donegal only after Murphy gets injured or beating the powerhouses of Laois? If you are using league form or yesterday's games played in a gale then surely Dublin will not be within an asses roar of winning anything this year. Beaten by a Down team that Cork hammered the first time and then toyed with the second, taught a lesson by Kerry in your own backyard and beat that far out the gate by Mayo that yous were half way back to Dublin by full time. However unlike yourself I know that the league and yesterday will mean very little come championship time

And I suppose Dublin had their full strength team out each time? Very selective post! I imagine the sheer fact that we are All Irelamd champions would make us one of the top few teams to win again. Not league performance!

Then why is Clondalkin putting so much emphasis on what he watched between Kildare and Tyrone and during the league. My post is not selective. It asks a question that needed to be asked. If I just said it's between Tyrone, Kerry and Cork and left it at that then I would expect someone to question my opinion. Last year means diddly squat in my view. Dublin are in the top 8 most years and recently have moved into the top 3-4. Although they won the All Ireland last year I would still be of the opinion that Kerry were/are a better team based on last years final and their perfomances for the most part this year. They absolutely hammered Cork at a canter and beat Dublin fairly easily as well. Cork are the second best team in my view but Kerry still know how to beat them. Mayo have come on a bagful recently and along with Dublin and Kildare I would expect that All Ireland Semi Finals to be made up of 4 of these five teams. I think Dublin's chances of winning it depend greatly on Cork and Kerry being in the same side of the draw

I can't answer for clondalkin I can only give my opinion. We are a top 3 team because of last year and the year before. having had a semi final and A1 final appearance and winning Leinster. Let me ask you why are Kerry and Cork considered top 3? In my opinion it's because of their previous championship placings.

And by selective I mean you said we beat armaghs reserves buy left out the fact that we had half our winning AI team missing. That's all I meant.

By the sound of O'Connor he thinks Kildare have won the All Ireland (See Headlin). I'm sure Kildare people expect more than a farce cup in divison two league football. In four years thats a mighty fine achievement alright......pity they didnt actually win the league on points and beat an injured ridden Tyrone team with blanket defence. They,ve hit the heights of Gaelic Football alright lol

I for one am happy for Kildare and McKeeney. Kildare have had some bad decisions go against them in the past 2 years and it's good that they got some silverware at the weekend. Nothing against Tyrone who are missing a few through injury and probably will miss 1 or 2 for the rest of the season, they will bounce back though.

Royaldunne on the Kildare vs Tyrone thread (29th April):
Blanket defenses, hand passing. Puke football at its worst. Neither team trying to play football....................I mearly pointing out what everyone else was thinking. It was a very poor game. Ill give kildare one thing at least the tried to play football at times. Tyrone didn't..............But that does not mask the fact that it was a terrible game to watch.............Too much hand passing.....................and only one team attempting to entertain................This match epitomizes the very worst of football.............But I never thought I'd say this after seeing tyrones performance today I was delighted kildare won. At least they tried to play football

Royaldunne on the Meath vs Tyrone thread (25th March):
I have listened for the past week about what meath doing with half forwards in backline............I an sick to teeth of people saying play traditional football......................Puke football my eye. Winning games football is what it is..............13 behind ball. Banty take note................Keep working on 13 behind ball banty it the ONLY way...............We are been completely outplayed by tyrone and there magnificent defensive system..................Its fantastic, the future of football is this.....................BLANKET DEFENCE is the only answer when it is done well like Tyrone it is superb................We must play 13 behind ball at all times....This is the new age of football.............unless we adopt the northern football method we will not progress.

Yeah, that's it cacs. Kildare fans invaded the pitch in celebration, oh no wait, no one bothered... but that was good because the players got to do their lap of honour, oh no wait, they didn't bother...in fact they didn't really celebrate at all when the whistle went bar Johnny Doyle giving a speech which I believe is tradition. We all get bored listening to players spouting out the usual cliches but the minute says something a bit honest he ends up being mocked. All O'Connor said he was happy with the performance and to replay McGeeney with a trophy. Fairly petty of you to pick up on it I have to say.

And no-one has denied Tyrone were affected by injuries but then I didn't see everyone writing off their chances before the game. Both teams have got promoted and that's all that matters as far as the spring goes. The summer will be a lot harder and a lot more important. And everyone in Kildare knows that including big Tom.

Ok can we wrap this up now. Kildare were excellent room for real optimism. Tyrone were below expectation and questions remain how far we have come in rebuilding.
Johnny Doyle's speech was great he always comes across as a genuine sincere leader and one I'm glad had an opportunity to lift a cup and make a speech.

League's over now boys so let's look ahead to great summer of football and hurling.

I agree Tim, Johnny Doyle is fine fella alright. The type of man you'd enjoy a pint of stout with, was a sound speech from a down to earth person with no airs or graces. My kinda person! Hope we hear him again when he picks up the Leinster trophy at the expense of the overated dubs

And your point? Yes what was played in croke park was puke football. However the way they played the blanket defense in omagh was brilliant. Two different games unloyal?

What's more worrying is that you actually went to the bother of collecting all that and posting it. Need to get a hobby unloyal. Your starting to look very sad. So to clear up my views for you unloyal. 1 tyrone used the blanket defense magnificently against meath it was very good but heartbreaking from a real loyal meath man to watch. Against kildare from a neutrals sort of point of view it was desperate. Got that? Now if meath were toemploy that or even donegals style and were success full would I give a stuff? Not one bit. Following me?
And how the administrator allowed this which has nothing to do with the topic ill never know. Now unloyal go and take up fishing or get a gf your starting to worry me with your obsession with myself. Its not healthy
