brendtheredhand, Mark Donnolly doesn't agree with you. See main page.

Now the real football begins a nice physical game against Kildare will set the Young Red hands up very nicely for the Championship game against Armagh , I don't think either team will be to disappointed if their on the wrong end of the result come Sunday evening as Division one football was the goal at the start and to get a piece of silver wear will be an added bonus...... looking forward to it ... I agree fortyfive. It will also be an occasion for both teams to say adieu to Division 2 football.

I think it will mean a hell of a lot more to kildare than to tyrone. Could go either way as tyrone if rumours are to be believed are fielding a weak enough team through injury and resting of players

Tyrone (Pronounced in the county as Trone) will want to win this without doubt.
Kildare will rightly be given every respect, they have been there or thereabouts for the last 3/4 years. We both would be similar pecking at this point both below Dublin and Cork and possibly Ciarrai.

I'm looking forward to it Mickey Harte likes to win games and Tyrone need to re-establish their form on Croke Park as sadly we have been found wanting in knockout football there recently.
The injuries will impact but Mickey and the boys will not be making excuses, a team will be picked with realist expectations that they can win the game.
Geezer will have his charges similarly minded.

I'd love to know who you hear these rumours from, as I'd say that there are only 2 people right now who know the team Tyrone will select (Harte and Tony Donnelly).

As for resting players, they haven't had a county game in 3 weeks, and it will be 6 before the next one. I'm pretty sure they are fit enough to cope with that strenuous schedule. Injuries aside, Tyrone be very close to full strength, as will Kildare.

Tyrone have already won every game in the division,
there shouldn't be a final in a league system, but thats
the association we are part of! Tyrone will
just have to beat them again.
I just bought the tickets for sunday, always look forward
to going to croke park, hope there is a decent crowd!
Tyrone v Kildare will be a quality game, with Tyrone's
injury woes it could go either, looking forward to seeing how
the management and players adapt.

There's not a hope in hell of Tyrone playing a weakened team by choice. There are some injuries but Mickey Harte's philosphy is based on "The Squad" and would feel that any 15 from that squad will equip themselves to win the game. He loves winning runs and hates losing. Tyrone will be as strong as they can be.
Since Tyrone don't play "Friendly's" competitive game are perfect preparation for championship. He also loves Croke Park and instils the love of playing there in the players.
Should be two good games.

Agree Tyrone tim. It's also fair to say that by the looks of it Tyrone have a strong panel so no matter who's playing it will still be a decent team. Kildare have played over 30 different players through the course of the league and no matter what selection Geezer puts out on sunday, I'd consider it a strong team. Like Tyrone no matter who lines out it will be a last chance for players to prove themselves in the last competitive game before championship. So it should be a cracker.

Clarke you really do come out with some statements. Yeah you know what team Harte is going to play, you on the selecting panel yourself??? You know what Mickey thinks and who he will select. Wise up son! He should rest some players instead of getting more injured in a farce of a game!

It's time for Kildare to finally shut everyone up. Let's see what there really made of this Sunday. Tyrone will want to win but it's no biggie if they don't , Kildare have to win to show everyone and themselves that they can beat a big team in croker. For me there not good enough up front that's why there doing everything possible to get the Cavan man.

To the Tyrone lads moaning about having to beat Kildare again... what are you afraid of?

Dublin didnt lose a game in the league last year and finished on top...

We had to play a league Final against Cork who we had already beaten and finished ahead of them as Number 1

We went onto lose the final by a point...

Dont remember anyone moaning about having to play the final in the first place... them are the rules. Dry your eyes Tyrone lads.

Kildare will win this one... by +3

A chance to win a national title (albeit division 2) is a farce of a game? Oh, how spoilt some of us have become.

And, if you had read what I posted, you'd see quite clearly that I saw only Mickey & Tony would know the team at this stage. Try to keep up man, you're embarrassing yourself with your arrogance and ignorance.

For Tyrone, it should be a stroll in the park, not sure they are even interested in it. Was in Kildare town yesterday evening and you would think its the All Ireland final...Do us Leinster teams a favour Tyrone.

Think it's great Kildare people are excited about the match isn't that what it's about. It's only a few years since they were criticised for prawn sandwiches and Chardonnay. I love the drive through Ireland and seeing Clubs and town's decked out for a game.

Jimbo - Plenty of Tyrone fans not bemoaning playing Kildare again - I think it's a great opportunity for both counties.
For those referring to it as a "Farce" ..I don't agree with them but the basis of their point is that a league is not really a league when you do it again in a final.
Most Tyrone people, and Management and players are of the view that this is a great opportunity to play for something in Crocaigh..They would genuinely be crying if we weren't competing for honours even a Div. 2 title.

I'm looking forward to the game. Kildare will need a good start if they are to beat us. I expect we'll win simply because we seem to have more edge up front than Kildare. Tyrone by 3-4 points.
