Ok here it comes my long awaited predictions on the Great Junior A Championship. I have left it as late as I could as I know what I say can sometimes lead to a charge to the Bookies and how I love to see them quiver. Get your money on early as the odds will be a lot shorter once this is made public glenny (Meath) - Posts: 1119 - 29/09/2012 09:33:50 1274602 Link 0 |

Ratoath easily beat Simonstown in the other semi final. 2-16 to 8 points it finished. Anyone know when the final is scheduled? Ratoath Royal (Meath) - Posts: 1394 - 29/09/2012 19:02:55 1274822 Link 0 |
I n hurling their are 4 clubs who have senior and intermediate teams. The last clubs that I remember that had intermediate second teams in football, were Walterstown, who were beaten in the semi final of the intermediate by Balivor, who went on to win it in 1981,and O'Mahonys who were intermediate in 1985. jake1 (Meath) - Posts: 268 - 29/09/2012 19:06:44 1274828 Link 0 |

While you're on a roll Glenny, is there any chance you could predict last Friday's Euromillions draw numbers....? Ex_Pat (USA) - Posts: 186 - 29/09/2012 21:28:02 1274921 Link 0 |
ratoath to bottle it against there feared neighbours, i just cant see them pickin up a title as ashbourne will have to much power throughout shotgunwilly (Meath) - Posts: 209 - 30/09/2012 13:01:22 1275035 Link 0 |
Wouldn't ya just know someone would have to have a dig at ratoath over beating 2nd teams!!! They bet first teams en route to reach the quarters, semis and final so obviously the other first teams wernt good enough!!!! Also ratoath topped their group ahead of drumbaragh (first team) and bective (first team and so called favourites) so by topping their group earned the easier side of the draw ratlag (Meath) - Posts: 585 - 30/09/2012 13:29:43 1275048 Link 0 |
dubsout, Ratoath won their group so they were obviously going to have an "easier" quarter final. They easily beat Summerhill who had knocked Kilmainhamwood out in the group stages. Then they came up against Simonstown who had topped their group and had trounced Dunsany (who knocked us out last year) in the quarter final and also won convincingly. In my view there's nothing wrong with the format. Both Ratoath and Donaghmore /Ashbourne got through the knockout stages by beating a group winner and runner up. If the first were good enough, more of them would have made the quarters/semis, but they weren't. Ratoath Royal (Meath) - Posts: 1394 - 30/09/2012 13:44:10 1275053 Link 0 |
