This made me laugh...

courtesy of dubsout.... ''yet as usual this thread is full of people biggin up rival clubs like they've been doin for the last 5 years. e.g as per every other yr, curragha, dunsany ratoath bective fill up the thread and in my opinion without any thought put into it. the HA are out, dunsany will fold like they do every yr, bective havent experienced knock out champo for a few yrs, and ratoath are still only kids at this level.''

Do Dunsany fold 'every yr' like Drumbaragh do or is that different?

As for your other contenders, Kilmainham would have to stand a chance if Newman stays around. But like Drumbaragh they have shown nothing in the past few years when push comes to shove. Cortown have nothing, no young lads coming through and I can only see them going the same direction as Drumree.

Ratoath will win it if they get their act together.

RE Slane..
I'm involved in Slane and it's true to say we are really low this year. Mass exodus of players due to emigration and retirement is the reason for poor results. Underage is going strong so I'd expect a turn in the next number of years. As the Chronicle noted a few weeks ago for the first round of the junior c'ship - K'wood v Slane would have been a major senior fixture about 10 yrs ago.

yes slane in a bad place at the minute, probably worse than any other club in the county and in danger of not being able to field for all games this year, and not being able to field next year at all. no manager, one and a half selectors, keep trying is all that can be done

The Drums were the better team by far number 15 for drums had a mighty game. Bective must of lost a lot of players i didn't recognize most of the backs and the midfield and bar the number 5

The Junior A is wide open. there is any of about 8 teams that could win it and drumabaragh and bective would be 2 of them

this grade will come down to which team can hold on to their more valuable players throughout the year. Its all that seperates a lot of the good junior teams and intermediate teams.

Duleek/Bellewstown : 1:19
Slane : 1:06

pretty poor from Slane considering its D/B second string , still have to acknowledge retirements etc though ...

Summerhill are looking very strong for junior A , young Lyons seems to be well fit to pull the strings from number 11, young hatton and lavelle are yet to join the panel after exam comitmence , big gillespie a real powerhouse in minor football and robbie mcdonell a speedster corner back
