Last year's meath minor playing corner forward seems to be playing very well for Ratoath, Byran McMahon. He was very unlucky not to get a run with the Meath Juniors this year. Should be a definite for the Meath under-21s next year.

Ratoath will be at home to Castleknock in the Leinster semi final on November 11th. Castleknock hammered Kilmacanogue of Wicklow 3-17 to 0-05. They've now scored 8-32 in two games. They'll be very hard to beat, especially with the players we'll be missing. Not sure if Kilkenny will be available or if today was his last game.

Junior A relegation farce

Another fine mess the Co. Board have created fixing the Junior A Relegation play-offs a full 10 weeks after the last round of the championships. What on earth have they been waiting for? Did someone suddenly stumble upon the fact that nobody has been relegated and just threw out a few fixtures The Quarter Final pairings were known on September 2nd and they were able to fix these matches for 5 days later so why wait a further 70 days to sort out the relegation??? It beggars belief and once again the ordinary club footballer is treated with disdain

That would be like a promotion for them....

Nearly sure Slane applied to go down or at the least were planning applying. Maybe there was a dramatic u-turn for them

Crazy Crazy stuff very much like a bit of stumbling around and someone spotted it and realised that there is relegation at Junior A.

God love them I suppose seen as it is nowhere else this year, I wonder did someone on the CCCC happen to read the County Final programme and spot it there.....

Maybe its a coincidence or maybe its not...My vote goes to spotting it in the programme sunday and hey presto they fixed after the next meeting.

what is your basis for that statement shotgunwilly? and please don't use the under 21 as a reason. im not saying bective wont win but your reasoning is ridiculous.

Ratoath will win by a good few at the weekend. They should be that bit sharper plus Bective are missing Mulhall

This year seems to be the one for spectacularly inaccurate predictions concerning Ratoath. Let's hope your second prediction is as accurate as your first shotgunwilly.

Nice to beat the self-proclaimed best team in the Junior championship for a second time this season in championship football, even without a large portion of our first team. The team will have cut down on the number of wides against Castleknock next weekend though if we're to have a chance.

Ratoath Royal

There are 2 Bective posters that knock Ratoath here on a regular basis. I only experienced goodwill and graciousness from Bective folk today.

Great win for the lads today. 4 subs on the bench though with 7 or 8 out injured & away, panel's wearing thin. Hopefully we'll have a few back next week but 2 McMahon's, and Madden will still be away and Power & Bobby O'Brien not likely to be back. It will be Ciaran Kilkenny's last game before Oz so I'd expect a massive Dublin crowd in Ratoath. Will be some occasion!

Could you repeat that in English with spellcheck switched on? We might understand it and be able to give you an answer.

I normally find the cheap Dub references about big East Meath clubs (despite not being from one) irritating and tiresome, but that was a good one.....

bobjaffacake would you not get the same feeling in the Dublin House Bar in Dunshaughlin?

rath togh, I agree with you about the Bective fans at the games this year. My post wasn't meant as a dig to all Bective people, just the aforementioned posters on here.

So Kilkenny will make the short trip to Ratoath then. Looking like it will have to be some performance by the team to make the final.
